Become a better observer. Life is full of humour, you just have to be open to it. Little everyday things, bits of conversation, human behaviour are quite ridiculous. Look for irony and the absurd. Also, be brutally honest. Honesty is funny. Talk about the things that make you uncomfortable. Talk about yourself. Be willing to show your vulnerability. Admit your weaknesses. I don't like comedians that pick on everyone else. Poke fun at yourself.

Just think of things that ordinary people do but maybe don't realize they are doing that could be considered comedic. Take Brian Regan or Jim Gaffigan for example. One thing you should NOT do: don't cuss every other word and don't use the F-bomb, they don't make you funny.
