I'm Mormon and we have what we call the 13 Articles of Faith for this specific reason: they define what we believe.
1-We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2-We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
3-We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4-We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5-We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6-We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7-We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8-We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9-We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10-We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11-We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12-We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13-We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

I have been mostly into Buddhism and an East Indian religion, Vedanta, which may have been an influence for Buddha. I could copy some dogma but you asked about my religion through my eyes. I realize more and more that there is no separation between God and the natural world. We always want to see something in charge. We create this paternal figure. But that leaves us very separate. People look to the sky to pray with the notion that God is way up there. But the real world is a manifestation of God itself. There are forces we don't understand and they are ultimately the same force. Science would tell us that we aren't just a creation of this force but we ARE this force. In Buddhism, nothing is separate - not you or I and not God.

I am a Muslim and I follow Islam. I was born into a Muslim family and was brought up as a Muslim. I love Islam and I choose Islam as my way of life.
The main theme in Islam is that God is One and the only one,, without any other comparable being. He is the One where everyone prays to and gives hope to. God does not get a child, nor was he begotten. And nothing is like God.
Next, we believe that through the ages, God has sent His messengers to humanity to spread the word of God that God is One and that all things are created to serve Him. These prophets include Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. These noble persons are not divine, they are human beings that do miracles by God's will. They are to be respected, praised, and to be made the model of a good lifelihood.
We also believe that humans are made to serve God, and that it is God which is the ultimate reality. We are all equals, without distinction by race or gender, as we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, and they were made from soil. A slave is equal to his master, a wife is equal to her husband, and a son is equal to a daughter. The thing that makes a person better than another is good conduct.
I hope that helps.

The difference between Chrsitainity (which is a Theology) and all religions of the world is relationship. All other religions have to live by works and can't personally know their creator. Christianity is based upon a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is based on the fact that we are all really bad people because of our sin and can do nothing to save our selves short of putting our faith and trust in Jesus. See if you need Him in your life. Take a short test here;

I am a Christian by faith and a Lutheran by denomination. I believe that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners and that he accomlished that salvation by his crucifixion and resurrection. I believe the Spirit of God lives in every person, regardless of faith or belief. I believe that it is my obligation to live my faith in daily life so that I can be a blessing to other people, however, I do not believe in preaching my way of faith and belief to them. If people ask, I will tell. I believe it is important to respect and learn from other ways of faith and belief since that can only enrich my own faith.

well, im muslim and islam preaches humility, self-discipline, and mutual respect. the head covering worn by women is to promote equality - it prevents what we see today in young girls: obsession over their looks and depression becuase they aren't as pretty as the prom queen, etc. however islam is not to be forced on anybody. When Muslims conquered territories, they forced noone to convert, and only imposed a minor tax on non-muslims. Unfortunately, many muslim families in the Mid East feel compelled to impose Islam on their kids (daughters especially) so they are forced to cover their whole bodies. The burkha (covering of face, hands, feet, etc.) is a completely cultural thing that islam does not require at all.
other than this, islam teaches love for all of God's creations. war is not permitted unless it is in self defense. islam places a high value on education and assitance to the poor. Islam is also big on community-based living. All of the islamic laws are in the Quran and they all propogate communal unity, organization and cohesion.
The 5 pillars are profesing one's faith, praying, fasting in Ramadan (every day from sunup to sundown- it is to teach oneself self control and experience how poor peole live), giving zakat (giving 1/40 of your earnings to the poor), and performing a pilgrimage (only if one is physically/financialy/psychologically capable of it) to Mecca. The most attractive thing about Islam is that it has remained constant throughout its existence. God knows what will happen in the future; therefore the religion he establishes is already perfect and universal for all times. The quran has not changed in over 1400 years and is still read by muslims in its original form in old arabic.

I have tried to be non-religious and Christian. I do not have a denomination and will not subscribe to mans doctrine. My faith is in Jesus to save me and my trust is in Father God, not man. My Father God never lies to me and I know that if I need wisdom, I can ask Father God, in Jesus' name, and He will answer. My hope is in Jesus Christ. My Father is Almighty God, of Abraham.
