go to dmv they will have the cope on file...everybody makes mistakes

The citation still remains on file. Go to your local DMV and say that you have been cited but don't have a copy of it. They will pull your info from the computer and will say you the exact amount you owe. You can also go to your local police station and they will pull your citation number from the computer there, and then you go to the DMV and pay it off.

Usually, after a week or two after you had been cited, you will receive the copy of your citation by mail. There will be the option to pay it off by mail, phone, and the internet; so you won't have to go to the DMV.

Wait for 1-3 weeks after you have been cited. You should receive the copy of your citation by mail. If by that time you still don't have it, then go to the DMV, or the local police station.

By law he has to give you a copy, otherwise you are technically not served.

They can mail it to you-it's still there-doesn't go away!
