What is the current tax on whiskey in the state of California?

I need the info for my history essay and I couldn't find the info anywhere... Does anybody know?

The current tax on whisky (and any other distilled spirit below 100 proof) is US$3.30/gallon. Almost all whisky is 80-90 proof.
