Hi Vegas
Here are several ideas to try. It's better than drugs in your system that surpress the pain and not heal the issue.
Quick Action Plan for Back Pain
Most cases of back pain are muscular in origin, and the pain itself usually occurs as a result of the way you use or misuse your body. You can avoid most types of back pain simply by taking the preventative step of staying in good physical condition. This includes a physical exercise program that works to both stretch and strengthen the muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons of your entire back and musculoskeletal system.
As well as being an excellent way to keep your body limber and in shape, yoga breathing exercises and postures, Tai Chi, or Qigong can also help you reduce much of the muscle tension and stress that can contribute to back pain.
Physical therapies such as bodywork and massage, chiropractic, osteopathic medicine, and physical manipulation techniques should all be considered if you develop back pain.
Since many cases of back pain are caused or exacerbated by unresolved mental or emotional issues, various mind/body medicine therapies should also be considered. Among the most useful are Bach Flowers, biofeedback therapy, guided imagery and visualization, and hypnotherapy.
Energy medicine techniques, such as ultrasound, the TENS unit, microcurrent stimulators, soft lasers, and infrared lights, can also successfully help treat back pain.
Both acupressure and acupuncture are highly recommended as well, as is prolotherapy, which is especially useful for otherwise intractable cases of back pain, and for back pain caused by degenerative discs.
Finally, be sure to supplement with nutrients that help to reduce inflammation and muscles spasms, and which promote healthy cartilage. Such nutrients include vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, EPA fish oils, evening primrose oils, free form amino acids, CoQ10, glucosamine, and the enzymes bromelain and protease.
Alternative Professional Care
The following professional care therapies are also useful for treating and preventing back pain: Alphabiotics, Applied Kinesiology, Ayurveda, Craniosacral Therapy, Environmental Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Oxygen Therapy (hyperbaric oxygen therapy), Neural Therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Best of health to you
Cheers

Oh, I am so, so sorry for you--- I had one car accident 20 years ago and injured my neck- Do not have the epidurals- I did, and it caused early degeneration (arthritis) of the spine. Your best bet is to wear a cervical collar as often as possible- get physical therapy using a traction unit- (they should give you one for use at home). The traction actually lifts you head up off your spine so that it can give you relief. I did it for years, several times a day and it helped. I know this sounds crazy, but I would try acupuncture- it may give you enough relief to make it bearable to do normal activities (no lifting or pushing the vacuum, or lifting your kids). By the way, get a really, really, good attorney- and when they start talking $$$, you make sure he is willing to consider the lifetime consequences on your children, the fact that you cannot interact with them like you used to- my daughter was 3, accident on her 3rd birthday- I never knew she didn't understand why I couldn't pick her up and hold her like I used to- we explained it many, many, times. I just found out last month (she is now 22), we were talking and she just blurted out, oh, I HATED YOU when you stopped picking me up and carrying me- I dont have many memories of being 3 but I remember how you stopped holding me and I hated you!!!----- I still cry---- and no money, (and I got almost nothing) could compensate me and I wish I was advised to have her see a child psychologist when she was young so she wouldn't have been so traumatized by the event---Please take your children to see one, they are suffering as much as you are--- my prayers are with you--- time not pills or injections, is the only thing that will help--- oh, also get a hot tub or shower massage, it helps----

I am currently going through the same problem...I haven't taken the shots yet...my doc has given me steroids for the pain which has been helping some. after a couple more 2 weeks treatments
every 2 to 3 months if not better, he suggested the shots, if that doesn't work he recommended surgery...I also have c-2 to c-8...I feel your pain. I am very happy going to the neuroscience institute at jfk medical center in edison, nj.Although the pain can sometimes be unbearable they are very conservative...hope you feel better soon.Maybe you can give them a call 732-321-7010.
I don't think that I would want to keep taking epidurals.Get a second opinion.

to boot to what #a million reported, anticipate to be denied the 1st time, the CBS new is doing a chain in this suited now how all claims are denied the 1st time and a couple of/3 of people supply up and pass away..... saves SS $$$ yet very unfair, in the journey that your fiancee' has an insurance employer paying her scientific expenses have her ask them in the event that they have any connection with a employer that specializes in getting disability claims authorized so as that finally the insurance employer is the co pay and medicare is the ordinary. in the event that they do paintings with a employer those people won't fee her something and her declare would be processed STAT. The atty gets 25% of the preliminary contract so that's to their income to make you wait as much as the two yrs optimal amt they could get. and that they do.....
