Is the cylinder full (as in completely) of oil or is there just a lot of oil on the plug when you removed it?

There are spark plug tube grommets in a lot of the 4 cylinder motors that when leaking, will fill up the spark plug tube with oil. When you go take the plug out you find an oily spark plug. If the cylinder was truly full of oil, you car would not run. You cannot compress a fluid. Your car would also smoke profusely if you had that much oil entering the cylinder while it was running.

I think that you may just need a valve cover gasket set with the grommets, some sealant and a few rags to solve your problem.

Some cars actually have tubes that press down into the head around the spark plugs, sometimes heat, expansion, retraction, vibration causes them to come loose and leak. A piece of wood and a gentle, but firm tap from a hammer will seat them back in there and stop your leak. The new grommets will help too, clean everything up really good and put a nice (not huge) thin bead of silicone around all of the sealing surfaces and bolt it back up.

If the head gasket is leaking you should have oil in your radiator (tan milky stuff) or water in the oil pan. This is not always an accruate way to tell though. Compression check, and a cooling system pressure check would be better ways to diagnose a leaking head/block/head gasket.

hey there does your car smoke alot if so it could be your piston rings and valves but to me it sounds like a blow en head gasket maybe take your car in to a ford dealership and have a pro look at it and get a compression test done to that will determin if your rings are bad or not good luck hope this info helps you out

Bad valve seals...bad rings

Or...if that cylinder is not firing, may be a bad plug or plug wire. Have it diagnosed...most shops will do this very cheap for you and give you an estimate for repairs. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion.

you will find it under the bottom of the sump pan, either in the middle or at the front or lower end.JUST UNDO LIGHTLY till it trickles into the container, then remove fully being quick to get out of the way of the oil stream. You can then remove the oil filler cap on top of the engine ,and the outflow will then increase in speed.

The piston rings are most likely seized in the piston. maybe you have overheated it. Get a compression test done.
