Nowhere on your forearm, unless you have lots of tattoos on the rest of your body already. It would look strange. Otherwise, on the inside (palm up, on the lighter, softer skin), with the bottom of the cross toward your hand and the cross-beam at the widest part of your forearm.

My brother has a tattoo of a cross on his left forearm. The bottom point is away from his body so others can see it clearly.

I agree with another answer. The bottom should point towards your wrist. When you show it off, others will see it right side up. Another good reason, you are getting a faith tattoo. Why not spread the Good Word out to others?

Obviously it'll depend on the shop's rates you go to. The one I go to would cost about $80 for that. If you take that picture into a shop and ask them, they will be able to give you an exact answer. There are always people who don't like tattoos and say, "God wouldn't like that" such as that other person who commented. They are projecting their hatred of the art onto you, obviously not what God himself would feel. I'm sure you know this, it just bothers me to see people hiding behind their faith to spew hatred. Good luck!

the bottom of the cross should be towards your hand so that when others look at it the cross is right side up -- or do you mean on the inside or the outside of your arm? that would be personal preference, but I would pick the outside, or the top of the arm

With the tail of the cross ponting away from...

Otherwise when people look at it they'll think it's upside down and you are a satanist.

If you are christian enough to want a cross you shouldn;t be getting a tattoo. Get it at a clean shop, otherwise it's up to you.
