I'll tell you from owning a bulldog for 2 stinky years now. Bath him when ever he starts to smell. I have talked to my Vet and she said that it's okay with this breed. I bath my dog when he needs it. Sometimes I can go 3 weeks at the most. You will find they have a strong odor and their coats will get grease the longer you wait to bath them. Don't lission to people that say you should only bath your dog every 2-3 months. Those people have NEVER owned a English Bulldog.

Bathing your dog too much can actually cause skin problems as you are ridding them of all their natural oils. I wouldn't bathe her unless she is really dirty or smells to bad, after all she is a dog, so why not let her be one. However you should be introducing her to the water so she does not become fearful of it, but you could simply take her for a swim in a kiddy pool. Always remember to make sure the water temp isn't to hot or cold (good way to check is with your elbow, just like with a baby) and not to use to much shampoo, and make sure its all out before your done.

right now, I would get her used to the water in your bathtub. Just run water over her...no soap. Soap takes away the natural oils in her skin and could cause dry, itchy, irritated skin. Since she is so young, you could ask your vet when is a safe age to bathe your baby. Also, if her face or paws get too dirty just take a washcloth and wipe. no need for a bath every time. OH YEAH, CONGRATS ON THE NEW ARRIVAL!!!!!

not more than once a month..as you wash away important olis off the skin...the dog needs these oils..or he will get skin infections...bather you dog less in winter...and dont let him/her outside untill its completely dry
