Anyone from Mexico, a question about coffee...?
When My hubby and I were in the Yucatan (2000) for our honeymoon, I noticed that the coffee (BLACK!) was rather sweet. In fact, it's the only time in my life when I preferred to drink it black. Is this a particular brand of coffee, or is it brewed with sugar, or ...? I would love to try to make it like this at home.
I posted this earlier and got no response, so any help would be awesome!

Coffee beans are not inherently sweet, so I would say what you had was sweetened with something, but I would have to tasteit to figure out what, since so many things could be used to do that.
