Jellyfish Salad

Ingredients:

200 gr dry jellyfish
2 tablespoon mayonaise
1,5 tablespoon tomato sauce
2 tablespoon sweet milk
1 tablespoon tobasco

Topping:

0.5 tablespoon sesame seeds
(fry in an oil for a while with small fire)

cooking direction:

1. clean the jellyfish then cut it (+/- 1 cm width), boil with hot water (+/- 75C) for +/- 1 minute, lift.
2. wash with cold water for few seconds then drained well.

How to serve :

Mix all the ingredient and add the jellyfish in then spread the sesame seeds over it.

Ingredients :

1/2lbPrepared shredded jellyfish
2tspLight soy sauce
3tblSesame oil
2tspWhite rice vinegar
2tspSugar
3tblWhite sesame seeds, toasted

Method :

* RINSE THE JELLYFISH WELL in cold running water and drain. Put it in a stainless steel bowl and cover with boiling water. Let the jellyfish sit in the water for about 15 minutes or until it is tender. Drain and continue to soak at least 6 times in several changes of cold water. Drain thoroughly and blot dry with paper towels and set aside. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar and sugar in a small bowl. Toss the jellyfish well in this sauce and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Just before serving, garnish with the sesame seeds.

* Serves 4 as part of a Chinese meal or 2 as a single dish.

Rainbow Jelly Fish
Yield: 1 servings

---RAINBOW JELLY FISH--
150 g Dried jelly fish
1 Red pepper
1/4 Yam bean (optional), or
-turnip
2/3 Cucumber
2/3 Celery stalk
1/3 Carrot
1 tb Sesame seeds
1 1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Sugar
2 ts Sesame oil


1. Soak jelly fish in very hot (but not boiling) water for
approximately 3 minutes until it curls. Then rinse under cold
running water for approximately 1 hour until it expands. Drain and
cut into strips.

2. Shred vegetable ingredients, and blanch slightly in boiling
water. Then rinse under cold running water until they are cold, and
drain.

3. Stir-fry sesame seeds in a dry wok until they are golden.

4. Mix jelly fish and vegetables with salt, sugar and sesame oil.

5. Sprinkle sesame seeds over mixture.

Just serve them raw with a bit of salt and pepper. Maybe some parsley for garnish! YUMMM !

I don't know, but I'd fill the thing with jelly (bring it back to its roots)

Throw that nasty thing away, it is definitely not edible ! What's the matter with you, it is poisonous don't even touch it.
