use a crate and put him in it ,cover it completely with a blanket or towel, sometimes this will help because it creates more of a den like atmosphere making him feel more secure.

you didn't say what breed he is or whether or not he has been vet checked. always rule out a medical problem first. then get signed up for obedince classes where someone can work with you. my dogs do the same thing if they are frustrated and haven't had enough exercise for the day. when they are pooped-out tired they sleep like bears. try walking for about 45 minutes in the evening (weather permitting) and then play for about another 15. what is the leashing accomplishing? why isn't he in a crate? ifyou are choosing not to let him sleep with you, this could very well be protesting. don't use a shock collar, whatever you do. they are effective for certain problemes, but not this one. try these things first. also consider maybe you aren't the right home for him, in worst case scenario. good luck.

PLEASE DON'T TIE HIM UP. this may make him panic. Wouldn't you be scared and nervous if you were tied up? I know I would. Try to crate train him. First, get one of your most stinky, smelly shirts and put it in the crate. This will give him a sense of security. It will feel like your close. after all, he loves no one more than you. second, keep his crate door open at night and put it right next to your bed. Right now, he thinks the crate is punishment because he was tied to it. He was scared. You have to let him think his crate is a Malibu vacation house. Put him in the crate with the door open and tell him "go to bed" or whatever command you choose. Soon, he will love it. it will be his very own place. Also, try getting him a Kong. Keep him busy while you are away. Hope this helps. Try to feed him his last meal at about 5p.m. so he can sleep more comfortable and not have to use the potty at 5 a.m. and the last walk try to wear him out. Make him want to go to bed. Jog, toss a ball, whatever it takes. I know your stressed but with consistency, your problems will stop.

Dogs are social animals and really like to sleep as a family. You will need to let him sleep with you to calm him down so you both can get some rest. Just take him out for a potty break right before bed, then take him to bed! Leashed to a doghouse would make any dog cry out for help and out of loneliness. Best of luck to you!

PLEASE DO NOT TIE UP YOUR DOG!!!!!!!!!!!! that is just mean and no wonder he is always crying. The lead must itch or annoy him and he may not have much room to run around with that lead on. Take it off and let him sleep with you or somewhere near you. He will stop crying when you do that. Train him to walk without a lead if you can too. The whole reason he has been crying is because the lead must get in his way and he stays up all night trying to get it off and then he is tired in the morning and crys

Some things that will help:

#1 Take him for longer walks
#2 Use the leash and collar method of training, when your puppy crys give a stearn voice command and jerk the leash slightly for enforcement.
#3 Provide Crate Training.
#4 You Can also allow your dog to sleep with you in bed this will also stop the behavior and break this bad habit.

First of all don't be tying the dog up its probably causing him more stress which is contributing to the crying. Kennel train him, and set times as to when he goes in and out, don't get up in the middle of the night to let him out just to put him back in. He will learn to hold it, just make sure he has some water and you let him outside to the bathroom before bed. I also found that placing a loud ticking clock inside the kennel with my dog helped to keep her quiet though out the night. Or you could just let him sleep with you.

First, Why do you put him on a leash indoors? May more exercise/longer walks before turning in. Maybe he doesn't like being alone?

he is crying because he is lonely, try making him socialize with other dogs or you can spend more time with him, or you can just simply buy a new campanaign for your pup

WHY would you do that?? You are making the poor boy sick. Why tie him to a whatever? Why doesn't he sleep with you or wherever he chooses to sleep? Guess what? Then he would stop crying and you would both be happy.........Now, was that so difficult to figure out? I didn't think so...............................
