I have lap robes, shawls and a sweater. Would prefer to donate to a needy group such as battered womens, rest homes, etc.

Don't know where Yuba county is, but look in your local phone book for women's shelter's and nursing homes. I bet the nursing homes would really like having the lap robes,

I think a good place would be the local hospital....
They have those gift shops and often sell hand knitted items...
For a loved one who's ill, or a newborn...
Maybe you could go check it out and see if they'd be interested..
Sounds like the lap robes and shawls would be perfect for the hospital buyer...
