Many people who claimed to have lived "good and morally correct" lives will be turned away at the judgment as Jesus will tell them that he never knew them. What was the one thing these people failed to address in their lives whilst on earth?

,The bible tells us our best on our own is as filthy rags. So if you tried to be a good moral person, it is still not good enough to get into the kingdom of God. You must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord. He who calls upon the Lord shall be saved. Jesus will sit the goats on one side and the sheep on His right side. Those who would say, "Didn't we prophesy in your name, and do mighty works," He will say to them, "Depart from me I never knew you, you workers of iniquity.

Did you mean the "road to heaven is paved with bad intentions"...
Are you saying good and morally correct are not important or just a very small part.
I want nothing to do with a brother who would deny me, even if I lived the life of a saint. Jesus or no Jesus, anyone who believes that is untrustworthy.

The statement implies good intentions the person failed to act upon.

My favorite is no good deed goes unpunished . . . somedays I live that principle for trying to help others.
