Conspiracy Theorists will tell you that there IS a cure for cancer and many other things that afflict man. The reason that we aren't disease-free is that MAN makes money from the suffering of others. Ironically, he makes money from pleasure too.

On the other hand, imagine a world in which all cures were available. There would be no consequences to our actions; eating too much, smoking, drinking, having sex, all forms of physical abuses could be fixed. NO consequences?!? Perhaps God gave us diseases as a trial, tribulation or speedbump. We learn from those that are sick, being sick ourselves and from those that have died as a result of illnesses. It is often a sad time but mostly reflective and I believe that is the point.

Maybe because of lack of faith by believers who ask "IF God can ...".

But you do ask a serious question, since questions about cancer usually are serious.

God has given doctors and others knowledge (even without their knowing it comes from Him), so that there is many more remissions and cures than there were even just a few years ago. Sadly, though, often it does not seem to be of the kind of cancer that we or one of our loved ones has.

We certainly would want a miracle.
We seem to think that God used to be doing miracles all the time.

But if we really read the Bible, the "ages" of Miracles were few. Of course, God does the miraculous ... occasionally and for His own sovereign purposes and in His own sovereign timing.

But, "ages" of Miracles ... the Bible:records:

Creation
the Flood
the Exodus, Wilderness Wanderings, and entry to Canaan
Elijah & Elisha
Christ's 3 year Earthly Ministry
and, in the future,
His Glorious Appearing and setting up His Kingdom of Peace

We want healing, we want miracles.
He has promised to "be with us", even through the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

The key word there is "if". That's a huge if. The belief in a god is not new nor is the idea of a god creating miracles. I can honestly say there is no evidence at all to suggest that any deity exists. I know the arguement "if something good happens god did it" all too well. Cancer is not an easy disease to cure. It has to do with the type of cancer and how it's being treated in the hospital along with the patient's own immune response. Miracles do not happen in reality unfortunately. If you are having problems with cancer I wish you the best. Good luck.

Of course God can cure cancer, and sometimes He does. But usually God does not suspend the laws of nature. No-one can say when or why He chooses to work miracles. But miracles are indeed the exception, not the norm. Usually we are subject to the forces of the natural world in which we live, including its disease processes. But we are just passing through. There is no disease in heaven. No natural forces. No pain or sorry or grief. This valley of tears is the road to home. We must keep our eyes on the goal, on our final destination.

God CAN create a miracle if he wants to. However, we have done absolutely NOTHING for him. We have utterly transformed his beloved creation (Earth) into trash. A world that was once clean, simple, forgiving has now turned into a ruthless world containing drugs, alcohol, betrayers, and prostitutes/pimp/gays/lesbians. If i were God, I would personally burn the entire Earth and create a new peaceful one. So, think about what we have done for God, instead of what he should do. We do nothing but sit, sleep, and eat. We also pray, but not in full devotion. Our mind wanders. Yet, God gives you food, shelter, good health, admission to collages, good parents, etc. Yet we don't acknowledge God after he has done all of this. I don't blame you, but this is the nature of all human beings. However, God has helped those who are devoted to him. He has helped them to get cured of cancer, and has forsaken those who defy him. Don't lose hope, my friend.

God can cure cancer. But I wonder if that's really your question or if there's something more here, something about cancer bothering you.

I have a friend whose doctor told him that unless he got a major operation and had an artificial valve put in his heart, he would die. His girlfriend told him not to have the operation, but to pray about it and wait for a miracle. His daughter had the right answer, though. She said, "Dad! The artificial valve IS the miracle!"

i think He sometimes does perform a miracle and some people are cured of cancer. we also live in a fallen world, cancer is a sin condition to the body, not because that person has sinned and now has cancer, but because the world is in a sinful state and cancer to the body is part of that.

I believe GOD can cure cancer, as he gave the sight to the blind, and he has made my son healthier every day. See...sometimes we want things fixed and done at our own time that we often forget that it's not about us, it's about Him, on his own time. Miracles exist (I can give testimony of that) is just that we have to have faith and believe that He will cure cancer, aids, etc, but..just when He decides when is the right time.

This is one of those questions everyone asks in their lifetime. The way I see it is this. God gave us free will, we in turn have created cancer by the polution, gene pool, poisions etc. I don't believe God "saves" people. I don't really believe in miracles. I believe we cause the good and the bad by using our free will. I believe God can speak to us and give us wisdom to make the right choices but we decide our fate. I don't believe God rewards or punishes. I believe God is Love. Love is positive energy, the more positive energy we produce the better the world on all levels. The more negotive, the worse this world is, disease, disasters, crime. We need to start seeing ourselves as a whole the way I believe God sees us.
