I am allergic to penicillin and sulfonamides. I suffered anaphylaxis from the penicillin. I've heard that you shouldn't take drugs with a similar chemical structure to those drugs, as they can cause another allergic reaction. I would like to know, just to be safe, so that I am aware of what I am taking, to prevent any dangerous error.

Check out www.webmd.com You can search their drug interactions page. Or ask your pharmacists for a drug interaction sheet. It will expain the drug and what you should take or not take with your particular drug.
