Carrots contain high levels of Beta Carotene, among other vitamins, which has been shown to be very important in maintaining good eye health. Contrary to the old wives tale, it won't necessarily improve your vision, that often has more to do with genetics. But it will improve the overall health of your eyes as well as other vital organs.

IT is a myth. I have never told a patient to eat more carrots. People get plenty of vitamin A in a normal diet and don't need anymore of it. Actually too much vitamin A can cause some serious problems.
