because neither one sounds like a punishement to me--nor does freedom from christians--and I think the whole hellfire brimstone, gnashing of teeth burning thing is something you(PLCs) made up because your feelings were hurt because we don't like you--it's Pissy Little Christian propoganda, and not at all true

Whatever you want to call it ..Hades, the lake of fire, or whatever name you care to give it, doesn't really matter. It's still a real place. Where do you think Saten will end up? If someone like Hittler won't be in hell, would he die and just go to the grave with no punishment what so ever? Not. I take it uou have a Bible-read Matthew 25:41..."Depart from Me you cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil....2 Peter 2:4...cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness....Many people are interested in reading the Biblical book of Revelation because it speaks of the end of the world etc. Read Revelatrion 20:10 The devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone...And in chapter 21:8 states that the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone ... We didn't just make this up. It was written about a LONG time ago.Christians didn't make this up, these are the words of God...not just man. Feelings hurt because those that don't believe in God, those that reject Christ and salvation, and because the devil and his followers will get what's coming to them? No, my feelings aren't hurt because of that. My feelings are hurt because people don't have to face this but reject the way of escape i/e believing in God. I'm sorry you don't think it's true. But since you think it's not true, why are you concerned and writting about it? Do you fear that what you feel is untrue could actually be true? Please accept the truth befrore it's too late.

Uh, hate to burst your bubble, Endora, but uh, the first referece to anything hell like actually occurs in the OT, (gahenna and all), and so Christianity wasn't really a going concern. And somehow, I think you have more sense then to suggest that its just "Pissy little Jewish propoganda" Because the concept of hell develops over time, but it has its root in the books of the OT!

What Really Is Hell? WHATEVER image the word "hell" brings to your mind, hell is generally thought of as a place of punishment for sin. Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death.
So hell is just a grave. But to know more you should definitely go to www.watchtower.org.

Just because you refuse to believe it doesn't make it not true. I hope you can realize that before it's too late.

Here's some reference for you about how much "fun" hell will be:

Luke 16

19"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.

20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores

21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.

23In hell,[c] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.

24So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.

26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house,

28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

Its sad to know that you are lost and controlled by Satan. There is no such thing as freedom if you're not with God and there is no such thing as the absence of God. Even if you do not believe, he is there with you...and in your instance, probably looking upon you sadly hoping one day you will know the truth. I'll pray for you.

I think hell is alienation from God and from others. I don't believe God will punish anyone or condemn anyone to "eternal damnation." People who are filled with hatred, anger, and evil are in their own hell, and trying to create that hell in others.

According to the thesaurus/dictionary... hell is>>> torture, misery, torment, agony, anguish, & even "a nightmare."
Better not go to sleep & have a nightmare... otherwise, you'll be in hell.

Neither. The original meaning of hell, when the Bible was written, was a pit or hole in the ground. No Brimstone, no damnation.
