Have you ever thought that God is allowing man to suffer the consequences of their independence. For thousands of years, there have been many different types of governments and rulers and no one has created an ideal society yet.

The Bible does promise a time when this will end. Jesus prophesied about it as did many Bible writers. It's mentioned in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, 2 Peter 3 and Revalation 18 and 19.

Um, they were stopped. Now I know the heavens didn't open up and the hail didn't fall and the earth didn't swallow them up, but somebody stopped them. I do recall that "Under God" came after the Great War and "God" was invoked after Pearl Harbor .. all to thwart a great evil.

Were they inspired or just good men?
If you want one person/thing/being to be accountable and in charge then vote for a king/queen monarchy.

I can see how much you love Bush, so I'm thinking you'll probably start realizing WE are exercising FREE WILL and suffering the consequences.

Religious-types will tell you that we had a chance to NOT kill someone and we'd be "all good", but we nailed him to a tree. Or, go allll the way back, and imagine how easy it would have been for all of us if one BITE hadn't been taken..hmmm.

If only we made better CHOICES.

btw : love yer passion

If there had never been a Stalin or a Hitler, would you be a believer today?

Evil exists in the world today because God is not a dictator. God allows us to make choices--sometimes wrong choices.

God is not the only Spirit that is influencing the occupants of earth today. There is also an evil spirit that temps us to rebel against God.

properly, confident, I agree that an rigid, vindictive God is a bad theory. It does not make any sense; as a mom, even i can't understand the worry of the previous testomony. nevertheless, i will quibble which incorporate your assertion of "God is evil with the aid of fact of Hell. God created each and every thing...." those conclusions are based on the doctrines of idiots. there are lots of non secular people available (me excluded...i'm agnostic) who think of that God ought to completely be smarter than we are. My Catholic neighbor thinks i'm good to bypass in God's eyes. Thank goodness for smart people, in spite of their faith.

there is more hidden meaning in world events than you know. In the latter part of the 1800's, a letter was sent to each of the heads of Europe (including the Pope). In it, they were told that if they accepted what was written, their kingdoms would be preserved. Not one of the letters recieved a reply, except for Britain. Queen Victoria, in reply said, "If it is true, what harm can it do? If it is not, then no harm done."

I believe that the events that followed in the early 1900's were a culmination of the fulfilment of some prophecy.

Hitler was stopped, but it took time and the sacrifice of millions of lives. Stalin persisted until he finally collapsed, and no one tried to revive him.

It that justice? Depends on your point of view. It is not swift, immediate justice, but in the cosmic scheme of things, the trash eventually gets taken out.

By the way, God ain't gonna do it. It is entirely up to humanity's sense of decency, or the lack thereof.

He told us what to do and how to behave and then said I'll see ya later. We are running things right now and very badly I might add. There will be a day when He takes over. That day will be joyous for some and a slap in the face for others.

you really think getting rid of Adolph Hitler would have prevented the Holocaust? the Europeans had an axe to grind against the Jews for centuries. plus, Hitler himself didn't do all those awful things...he had dozens of people in his party who took part in the killings.
as for Stalin, again, he was in power because people allowed him to stay in power.
