Hydrocodone is a narcotic used for pain relief (or cough if used in a liquid form) It can become habit-forming. It is usually combined with acetaminophen (APAP)example: Vicodin (ES, HP), Lortab, Lorcet, Norco etc. for pain as well. If it is combined with acetaminophen, please do not exceed the maximum of 4000 mg of acetaminophen a day. Equivalent to 8 Extra Strength (500 mg) Tylenol. Some complications can be constipation, or stomach upset.
