$5000 is a good price, you can probably get a good deal if you go to a jewelry warehouse, and there might be times when certain engagement rings are on sale. For example let's say a ring costs $10,000 but is on sale for 40 % off, then it only costs $6000 for a $10,000 ring.

you may want to get something from walmart or sam's club. they could have something like a promise ring which could be used as an engagement ring. also Jared's has some promise rings that i does not recommendations having as an engagement ring. imagine outdoors the field. Cubic Zirconia may be very quite too and expenditures way decrease than a diamond. And it lasts purely as lengthy. It is likewise made faultless, the position an a lot inexpensive diamond may have enormous flaws in it that you will be able to make sure.

Remember that the engagement ring is something that she will wear for the rest of her life. A half carat ring set in 14 karat gold runs roughly around $1200 and is not tiny, but a tasteful size.

First suggestion...don't propose on her birthday or Christmas. It is cliche and overdone...pick a day that will only be yours and doesn't have any other holidays connected to it. As for the ring, a decent diamond goes for 2-3k+ and the setting can be as little as 400-500.

It is suppose to be the equivalent of two months of the males wages. So if he earns eight thousand a month he should spend approximately sixteen thousand on the engagement ring and wedding band.

If you want a diamond, be prepared to spend in the $1K ballpark. A CZ or colored stone will be much cheaper for a larger stone that is every bit as nice. You can get a diamond under $1K but it will be very small for the price you pay.

mine was $10 on sale at Macy's. It's CZ, plated gold. I'm only wearing it until the wedding. After that I'll just wear my wedding band. It still means that I'm engaged, but we're too poor to spend all our hard-earned cash on a ring.

A good company is Artcarved rings. For the life of the ring they will size it for free if you need to make it bigger or smaller. They have alot of neat styles and ones that are stackables too. You can check them out at:

And they are very reasonable too. For our 30th we are exchanging vows and instead of diamonds, we are getting a unique Artcarved ring.
