David introduced himself to me my first day of college and introduced me to a lot of people, because he is a nice, popular, guy.
We only party together and have never gone on a real date. There is no emotional relationship between us besides great sex. Is this wrong to carry on with? Should I end this relationship before it hurts my reputation?

Don't treat people like objects.

At the core of human existance is the ability to form emotional attachments to other people. IF your using this guy for sex alone, then your denying yourself the satisfaction of having a happy ( and healthy) relationship.

Either get to know him as a person, or find someone else that is more interesting. My guess is you should do the last thing. This guy is using you as an object and treating you as if your not worthy of sharing more than a few nights in bed with him. Find someone that cares about You, and not just your abilities in bed.

Don't worry about your reputation. Worry about yourself.

If there is no emotional involvement, it is a little like masturbating, it satisfies physical urges and allows us to avoid the risk a meaningful relationship.

Sometimes that can be a good thing but if carried on too long, prevents our emotional growth. Only you or someone close to you would know where you are with that.

I can see some positive things to that kind of relationship if it allows you to date other people without having sex with them. As you may know, having great or good sex with someone who is a boyfriend can cause you to have "feelings" of being "in love" with someone who is not a good marriage partner.

Dating a number of men can help you find out what different kinds of men there are and how well they compliment your personality.

If he is with other girls, end it. You need to at least get some respect. If you dont have feelings for him, get out now or at least let him know you are only freinds because it is easy to develop feelings in those situations. If you do have feelings for him, you need to see how he feels about you and then let him know how you feel. last but not least there is nothing wrong with friends with benifits if everyone involved is on the same page.

If that is all you want and your are happy it is your business. But if you want a relationship then being sexual with this guy might cut you off from a potentially fulfilling relationship, one where there is great sex and the whole package, good sex is important but so is companionship.

I don't think its wrong. Keep your sexual "episodes" where they belong, in the sack, and not between your friends' ears. And if he can't keep his trap shut then no more "great sex" for David. I believe in platonic relationships 100%.

How many guys are you sleeping with? It is only when you sleep around when you get a reputation.... Are we not hearing all of your story???

Do care about your feeling (that you would feel later) more than reputation as long as you don't sleep around. If he's just you sex buddy and you're ok with it, it's ok.

if you both enjoy then no its not wrong --- and who cares about a reputation in college --- its when you go out in the real world that you have to worry (and even then not too much)

stop it before you really get hurt. If he's doing it with you, he's probably sleeping around with other girls, too.
