Cutting yourself is not always a cry for attention, and it's not lame. People who cut themselves seriously usually have deep, emotional issues and need help. Most of them can't do it alone. Tell someone. Reach out. Get help. Talk to a doctor. You deserve to be happy, without pain.

I knew a young man who was a cutter and a burner. I was shocked when I found out and the only thing I could do was ask him if he was o.k., those of us not trained in the psych field do not know how to handle this situation and if we have never done it ourselves, don't understand the reason someone would do it. My advice would be to seek professional help. He did, and got medication to help him. He is a healthy young man now and is able to deal with his problems in more constructive ways that don't hurt himself or others. This is not "normal" behaviour BUT there is hope for you, you need to realize that no one can help you overcome this until you admit you have a problem and that you need help to get past it.

Dude! what could be that bad? There has to be something to turn to to help you feel better. It would be good to have a friend to talk to. I used to turn to scotch and vodka. Then one day I thought hey? this crap doesn't help when it wears off and then I feel like crap. I know most others don't understand but do what I did. find one who does.

You know the reason people ask is, because they care and the reason that makes it worse is because you like to pretend that nobody cares, so since you like to pretend that why don't you just go around singing nobody loves me everybody hates me thimk I'll go and eat worms. And by the way that's what you're supposed to do, eat worms not cut yourself.
I don't know you and so I don't care; eat worms. Don't tell your family or people around you though cause they probably do care and they don't deserve the pain you put them through while you pretend that they don't.

You need to seek counseling. Cuttting your self or self mutilation is an indication that you are having some problems in your life.
Seek help

I think it's ridiculous that people cut themselves. How the hell does that make anything better?
That doesn't solve anything, it just makes things worse because not only is that emotional problem still floating around, you have ugly physical scars.
