no and No the one thing no human being should do is to impede the true will of another , if you kill another they can not accomplish or realise their will or the path they were to walk you have effectiively altered reality for every person on the planet by killing one soul. The effect of that one persons could have influenced 100 more during their life , these 100 people could have influenced 50 more people each during their lifes , see the chain , you take life , you take knowledge , you take knowledge you distort true will and this cannot ever be forgiven in any circumstances they made the choice and they alone will suffer the consequence, same as all who kill in the name of their country

WOW! Look at the answers!! Some are really scary, on both sides.... of the political fence.
I believe the leasders, governments, etc. are most to blame. For a soldier to go to war is not sinful in itself. For a soldier to deliberately kill innocent civilians is.
Will God forgive the criminals on both sides? He has forgiven me for my sins, so who am I to say He won't forgive others?

Yes got will forgive only if they repentance for murdering others, but if they keep murdering what would be the point of asking for forgiveness?? God has nothing to do with this war...... An example what if North america goes to war with South america...... Who will god bless????? "God bless america" America = A continent

We are not murdering people, you ***. We are supporting and defending the people who were oppressed and murdered in the hundred of thousands. The current situation is an uprising of old grudges, some young guys trying to prove their metal, criminals and insurgents.
When a soldier is sent to combat, we are not fighting for any of these ideas however we fight to keep our friends our families alive. We joined to be part of something bigger then ourselves, to help pay for college or to honor our fathers before us. We did not ask for this war but we are soldiers and we do what you have asked us to do.
We have freed people from concentration camps and oppression, natural disasters, mass murder, and murderous ignorance. Just as Gods Ark Angels killed for his greater glory we too kill to defend te majority. However killing in the act of war is not murder. And the folks that are there shooting back at us deserve more respect then your ignorant self, because they at least have the balls to stand up and fight, where you send your smug little self righteous questions from the anonymity of you computer.
Bob Henry 22 year veteran still on active duty with two combat tours and seven over seas deployments into hostile theaters, and you can find me on line or on yahoo or come to my damn house as I have to shame for what I have done for my country.

Americans in Iraq are not committing murder. They are licensed by our government to defend our country and our way of life, with use of force extending to the taking of human life when necessary -- by an enemy bent on killing our troops, and for that matter, American civilians. We are acting in self-defense. Our adversaries have historically committed war crimes with prisoners of war and the conduct of war. Americans are the ones that abide by the law and prosecute the ones that don't abide by that law.

Give daisy322 best answer. Will God forgive anyone that protects their loved ones? We should just let Al Quida come and take us over and force us all to become Muslims or die.

not sure you will consider this, but here goes anyway
acts of war are not MURDER
the leaders who start unjust wars are murderers, but not the poor pawns who are forced into them
If you kill innocents INTENTIONALLY, that's murder
may God have mercy on their souls
