well hunny u clearly called him a "friend" soooooo, if it was me i think I'd maybe hold off a bit until the name had a "boy" in front of it.....or at least looking like its going in that direction on "both" parts.
on the other hand, IF u feel the connection is the same or close on both parts and u just haven't yet committed to the "Boyfriend" word yet then by all means follow ur heart.
u will know if it feels right to say it and if he feels even close to the same as u and wants to move forward with ur relationship.
good luck, I'm sure u will do whats right for the "both" of u !

If you dont tell him, then youll never know if he feels the same way. I say tell him bc if he runs off, then it wasnt meant to be.
