Depends on how long the symptoms persist for. Generally an upset stomach will be over fairly quickly - that is one or two instances of diarhoea and/or vomiting. With the stomach flu, the symptoms would last for more than a day and may require an injection to stop the vomiting and diarhoea.
In either case, keep up the fluids

for upset stomach i use baptismal for stomach flu i may give my stomach a break if i have a hard time holding things down then try 7 up soup

The pink liquid really helps!
And try drinking flat sprite.
And if you go to sleep, you can just forget about it and not feel it for a while and maybe feel better when you wake up!

umm time and sleep but i generally go with the cheerios and ginger ale diet :P
the ginger ale if nothign else makes the puke taste better which is disgusting but hey we do what we can. also see a doctor they can do more than you think. good luck with that best wishes
