There is a history of giving drugs to troops, and I wonder if anyone knows if the troops in Iraq are on anything?

Even if not provided or encouraged by the U.S. military, there's never a shortage of drugs in the Middle East. I would imagine that part of the stabilization of Afghanistan must be turning a blind eye to drug production in favour of money flow.

I was in the army and I was in Iraq, and YES a couple of troops were using drugs, mostly Opium that they buy from the locals. Also they don't drug test 6 times a year while in theater, we had one drug test while we were in Iraq. I knew one guy who got injured and had to be flown to Germany and while he was recovering in Germany he went to Amsterdam baught alot of weed and got busted trying to bring it back to Iraq with him, so trust me yes there are soldiers doing drugs and they have ways of getting drugs>
Oh ALSO using drugs in the army DOES NOT GET YOU COURT MARSHALED and NOT EVERYONE GETS A DISOHNERABLE DISCHARGE! I had a roommate that was a coke head in Texas and had two positive urine tests and they discharged him with a general discharge that was upgradable to an honorable after 6 months. I don't know where some of these other people get their facts but their wrong. I was there and have seen these things happend during my 5 years in the army. Also not all soldiers use drugs but some do, most soldiers are good honest people, but when you have an Army with over a million people and corrupt recruiters trying to make enlistment numbers theres gonna be bad apples that make it through the red tape.

have you ever honestly considered a record about Iraq? that is honestly not a walk contained in the park. people over there are death, all even as policing a us of a contained in the approach the Civil warfare. by my count number, there have been nicely over a dozen retired generals and admirals (larger score ones) who've got here out adverse to the warfare, putting forward that that is a lost reason. Colin Powell (i wager he might want to fall into that above crew, also) has reported that Iraq is in a Civil warfare (you'll locate this video on YouTube). even as the shortcoming of existence toll may nicely be decrease in this warfare than most of the others the U.S. has been in, do not use that to justify the warfare. no human being could play politics with American lives. This warfare is inaccurate, and the pollnumbers help that. even as decrease than 30% of individuals honestly help the reason, perhaps we favor to reevaluate that reason.

People use drugs. Soldiers are people. I'm sure there are drug checks, but if a soldier tests positive for drugs, will s/he be sent home? Probably not, right?

Malaria drugs, particularly Larium have been prescribed and at least one lawsuit is pending, because Larium is known to have depressive side-effects, and a soldier committed suicide while taking it.

Here is an article from the American Chronicle about drug-use among US troops:

Cite your sources please.

I would like to know who said that:
A. There are people giving drugs to US Soldiers
B. There is a history of giving drugs to US Soldiers

In answer to your question - of course not. Our troops need all their faculties to deal with the horrors that they are enduring over there.

So stop trolling.

Drugs is everywhere. Young people have nothing to do; they get frustrate, depress by everyday murders; drugs, even if they use; would cause few moments enjoyments before they be found dead!

Afghanistan, is the MOTHERLAND of Billion Dollars sold around the World! Now, you may think why American invaded Afghanistan! Before, drugs must go through many countries to get inside of US, mostly from Canada! However, NOW, directly comes to US, and perhaps, would land US Air Force! SO IT is better you inform US intelligent to carefully inspect aircrafts landing from Afghanistan and Iraq. Of course you must make sure to not give your personal information, otherwise your life may be in danger!

The military unit performs drug tests at least six times a year, at least two of which are conducted on the entire unit. If any of them are doing drugs, they won't go unnoticed for even a short period of time. Drug use in the military will get you dishonorably discharged and prosecuted.
