Well he would have to sign it. But as far as a bank know it is signed by him... I would sign it then write pay to the order of your name then you sign it..

PayPal itself is a great reason to have such a "Deposit Only" account. PayPal will take money from your checking account to pay for transaction, without your explicit authorization. Scenario 1: For example, someone pays for an eBay purchase, but then wants a refund (you haven t shipped yet). When you refund the money, instead of using the balance in your PayPal account (from their purchase transaction), PayPal takes (steals) the money from your checking account. Then, they graciously let you transfer the your balance back to your account, which takes three days. Your bank will happily give PayPal your money, even if you are overdrawn. So, imagine if the above scenario included buyer fraud, PayPal would then have actually given your money to someone else, and will subsequently hold your balance until they finish the investigation, which could take a week or more. Scenario 2: Someone guesses your PayPal password, and uses your PayPal to buy stuff. They could easily spend not only all your money, but cause overdrafts as well. This results in a big mess that could spiral out of control: bounced rent checks, bounced utility bills, etc. Please note: deciding whether or not to cancel an eBay transaction is off-topic.
