Don't listen to their creationist crap. They have nothing that needs to be taken seriously or can contribute to scientific knowledge-treat their beliefs with the total disdain they deserve.

Okay, here's one. A study was done into the composition of matter, which is composed of atoms. I'm sure you know that atoms are composed of neutrons, protons and electrons, and that those are composed of quarks. What are quarks composed of? SOUND.
So, God spoke, and it came into being.
A study was also done into the probability that DNA simply "evolved". The number was so close to zero...that it basically was a ZERO percent chance that it was random.
See, there isn't PROOF. There is only evidence. MANY things in the Bible have been proven to be scientifically, medically, and historically sound. Not only that, but archeological digs in the areas described in the Bible have yielded the most SPECTACULAR results. Archeologists have actually discovered that the Bible was completely accurate in its description of where certain cities once stood.
I have found websites on this, and I also have books about it.

If you're really open-minded, have you read anything by Josh McDowell or Lee Strobel? Both were atheists who set out to prove the Bible wrong, and prove that God didn't exist. Both became Christians.
I won't delve into it any more than this, but I hope it's enough to get you started.

There is no proof for evolution because it all contradicts itself.

Firstly, scientists, while trying to prove the Big Bang, extrapolated the stars to work out exactly where it occured and found out that the only way to get the theory to work would be to have 9/10 of the world made of dark matter. Dark matter is stuff that you can neither see nor touch so to believe in its existence is no more sensible than believing in God.

Secondly, carbon dating is absolutely hilarious. A group of scientists carbon dated a tortoise shell and found it to be a couple of million years old only to be told that the tortoise had actually died the day before.

Thirdly, fossils are dated by the rocks they are found in whilst rocks are dated by the fossils that are found in them. This is recorded in the encyclopaedia brittanica. That is what one calls circular logic.

Fourthly, if carbon dating is correct, then a couple of mountains must have grown legs. For instance, the Matterhorn (which is on the border between Italy and Switzerland) must somehow have walked from at least Africa because it is sitting on rock younger than itself and the nearest rock its own age or older is in Africa.

Fifthly, the flood that is recorded in Genesis would have been responsible for completely changing the earth. Everyone knows that things change under immense pressure. The Bible says that, not only did the heavens completely open but that the fountains of the deep also opened, meaning that the earth would have been pressed between two large volumes of water. That would make the earth seem older.

Sixthly, God created Adam as a man, not a baby. Anyone seeing him the day after he was created would have thought he was nearer twenty years old rather than one day old. It would have been the same for trees. They were trees, not shoots poking out of the ground. Nature was created in its adult state and would, therefore, appear older than it really is.

Seventhly, the big bang theory talks of an explosion that created something. When was the last time you saw an explosion that made something other than a big mess?

Eighthly, evolution is basically a series of mutations that have brought us to where we are today. The only thing is that mutations are harmful and debilitating. There is not one recorded incident of a mutation that has been beneficial to the organism in which the mutation occured.

Ninthly, a lot of evolutions base their so-called evidence on the horse, which apparently used to have three toes and now only has one. How very clever of them to base their theory of simple-to-complex on an animal that went from complex to simple.

I don't believe in Creation because I have been brainwashed, I have thought this through very carefully in my own time and studied it.

The distinction has to be made between evolution and breeding. We have many varieties of dog, but they all bred from the same original species, the wolf. Desired characteristics have been selected and bred in. However, these various breeds look vastly different from their ancestors and the variety is enormous.

This, however, is not evolution. At a basic level, they are one species.

MRSA, (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus ) is the result of selection, not evolution. It is not that this has become resistant to anti-biotics, it is that the population of th non-resistant version has been considerably reduced. If you have a tube of smarties and you at all but the reds, you cannot conclude that the smarties have evolved into reds.

Orchids. These are staggering in their design, and clear evidence of intelligence over evolution. There are species of orchid that can only be pollinated by specific humming birds. How could these species have arrived at this by chance? Other orchids take on the appearance, colour and even smell of insects they need for pollination. How does that happen by random chance? After all, how can a sightless plant be aware of what an insect looks or smells like?

Chromosomes - This is an odd one/ Check into the number of chromosomes different species have. Look at the wide variation. I will leave you to draw your own conclusions from that.

Well assuming that you still are wanting to know why it is that SOME Creationists appear to be brainwashed as you put it, I can't tell you, but I can tell you why I believe what i do.

The truth is that when you do a little research you find how little the probability the big bang would of happened as perfectly the way it did, and there are 6 different things there that had to happen just perfectly in order for life to exist. What makes you think that we hit the jackpot so many times on accident?

Also, evolution is so improbable to happen at its own. You see people walking around, but I have never seen a car just appear in my front yard. Cars are much less complex than people, and yet the idea of just finding a care is rediculous, and yet the idea of people arent.

I am not saying that evolution did not happen, i am just saying it took a little edging on.

Oh, and thanks for rephrasing your question into a more open one.

First of all I want you to go and study biology . Look at a diagram of the eye or a leaf . look at diagrams of cells the anatomy of animals and how they are each suited for ther enviorment . study microbiology zoology anatomy botony and marine biology then try to tell me that this world happened bye chance.

Second Evolution is just a theory . There is no proof of evolution .
All that carbon dating and stuff is all inacurate .

Third the Evolution theory was made because people wanted to escape God and because people want to be like God . According to evolutionist the next stage in evolutin is spirituall beings beings that are like God . Also they beleive in no God . Well some one pretty darn smart had to create this universe . Also if ther is no God they can live the way they WANT .

Fourth Evolutionist will tell you most people believe in evolution . WRONG . You may not have studied Biology but others have and finnally something cliked and said hey some one smart had to have created this world it is to complex .

Now I dont have all the answers but thees are my points . Others have more answers research on this

i don't believe in religion and i've studied loads of science and really wanna believe that it's all just evolution- which i think is partially true but...

where did everything come from in the first place to evolve from?

various theories on universal expansion, compression etc are all well and good but no-one really knows if they're true. Even if they were, where did the big bang/ yo-yo universe come from?

If you want to be convinced that God is real and He is the Creator, you are asking the wrong question. Ask yourself if you deserve to be in God's Holy presence, assuming there is a God.

If you can honestly answer that question, (and there is a correct answer), you may be able to digest the majesty and power of God. He created you. You are like no one else. He loves you.
He has made a way for you to have a relationship with Him.

That, my friend, makes the whole creation thing look like a walk in the park to me.

I can tell you are just looking for a fight which right now I'm in the mood for. Jesus walked on the earth and people had the presence of God with them but they chose to close their hearts. I am not capable of opening ones heart, only God can do that.

All of nature shows that there is a God. It is impossible that this world the way it is formed did not have a creator. Look how the flowers, trees, birds of the air, and yes even humans are formed. Only a creator could have formed us as perfect as we are. We did not evolve from any life form.
