Yes he is and if his people were to do his will there would be no homeless or starving people. Think about it if everyone was God fearing and lived according to his word would there be homeless or starving men women and children? There are God fearing people feeding the people in Africa, The Christians Children's Fund, Feed The Children Foundation, Lakewood Church, Bishop T.D Jakes, and many more but there are more starving people there there is help for them. So I believe that if us as Christians and other religions who believe in God would do there part and take care of his people the problem would not be so great.

well, what do you expect? the world is a world of trial, and we can suffer as much as those children starving in Africa. But God HAVE sympathy in a way you wouldn't know how. And know what? The suffering of those innocent people will be duly paid for in the next life. It is not for nothing that those people suffer. God works in quiet ways...you wouldn't expect God to create every miracle for every people who suffers. Remember, while we are in this world, everything will be unequal, and suffering will ever be present. The world is unfair. Well, do you expect everything to be equal and good for all? Look for it in HEAVEN, where everything is PERFECT. But right now, we are in this WORLD. However, God doesn't leave us to all that. He gives us strength amidst all, and that's why we need to rely into HIM.

GOD DOES HAVE SYMPATHY,...even more, LOVE.

I was a devout Christian for thirty years. My love for God the father, the Holy Ghost and Christ was honest and true. When I needed him he abandoned me. I am living proof that God doesn't care or doesn't exist. You might say that this is just my situation but...

when you look at the Holocaust... his chosen people, the Arabs... same genetic bloodline as Jews and worship the same God a different way, and the historically bloodthirsty Christians, you'll notice that it's not just me. So many people live their lives in utter devotion to God, yet circumstance shows favor to the wicked and prosperity is random seeing nothing of anyone's good deeds. To believe in God is disappointing when you're in need. He doesn't care or doesn't exist.

Have a great day!!

Interesting question, but many homeless people are very happy, and I attribute starving children in Africa to problems with its government.

If god has sympathy than he is impotent or a powerful Jerk who won't give help to all those who pray in vein.
How could you allow 1/1000 of the crap that goes on in the world?!? The only ones with sympathy are people! we have to be the ones to do something about whats wrong in the world...because God either can't or won't.
SO YOU HAVE TO BE THE ONE THAT STEPS UP AND SET THINGS RIGHT....because if God is real he seems content with the status quo or unable to do anything about it.

For sure God has sympathy. God created homeless and poor people to test us( rich people) if we will help or not..God created everything in the world on purpose that we don't know

He allows unfortunate people for us who are fortunate, did you know we have enough food in this world to feed every human 100 times over? He wants us to be built up with one another. When we help the less fortunate, we are being built up and so is the other person. I believe that the poor will be rich in heaven and some rich people will be poor depending on how you utilized your gift while you were on earth

Yes He is, definitely. And it breaks His heart, so to speak, that we Christians are so hardened to those things.
I visited a day centre for the homeless recently. Do you realize that in one city with weather between -20º and -50º there are hundreds of people that spend the nights on the streets?

Of course he is. He came down to live as a human and suffer everything that we suffer.

He knows intimately the pain of starvation, homelessness and all the other painful experiences of the world!

Given the state of our intolerant and violent world, Jelly Been, I wonder if the Christian god's sympathy and compassion have evaporated.
