i think he'll send u certain signals...if he walks closer to you than the other people you're with..compliments you moreee than enough..and just flirts
youll be able to tell..i wouldnt ask him out ASAP but you could inconspicuously ask him about his dating life and who he likes since you are close friends..just make sure if you do end up dating you can still have a friendshhip when its over
