In short, I have no religion, but, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, I'd like to think that as a Christian I have an excellent relationship with Him. Definition: religion is man reaching out to God to establish a relationship by his works. Christianity is man lifted up by the Grace of God by faith without works. Faith plus works is no faith at all.

I think that all religions are a product of the culture that they arose from. If you look at the "history" of several religious figures like Jesus, Krishna, Mithra, etc. They all have similar beliefs, practices, and stories. I simply believe that there is some kind of higher power and/or being.

Krishna Consciousness though it is not exactly a religion it is Sanatan Dharma. Or the practice of the eternal occupation of the soul. We chant the Maha Mantra or the Great mantra for deliverance. It is universal and one does not need to change their religion to practice it. go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com/chanting_hare_krishna.htm also look at the e-books and other parts of the site. it is extremely enlivening and information..

I don't have a prescribed religion. I was brought up Roman Catholic. Now I am a Spiritualist, and in a lot of ways I lean towards Paganism.

NONE!!! But if I had a choice (and I have studied many denominations and groups) within christianity, I would choose the church of Christ. My sister is a member of this church. They seem to be the only ones that come close to making any sense.
THIS JUST IN!!:
"Faith plus works is no faith at all. "
This is why I CAN'T STAND most of what I see in religion!! People make it seem like foolish giberish!! First you hear some parrot head say this; then I can recall your bible saying this:
James chap 2
"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?.................
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. "
This is one reason why I find it difficult to believe you people. All of you can't POSSIBLY be right!
I again called my sister and asked her on this subject. This is what she sent me:
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
So just as by it's fruit, the tree is known, your faith is demonstrated by your good works, yet, you will not be saved by your works, but rather by your faith in Jesus Christ. Read the parable of the talents starting in Mat 25:14. Substitute for the talent a knowledge of salvation through Jesus (faith). If you keep this knowledge to yourself, you have buried the talent (your faith), and wasted what God has given you. You must share this faith with others, that they may also believe. Then you will multiply the talent (faith) God has given you. This is the kind of good works that must follow faith. Many may claim faith, but do they live it? If they do not, God will deny knowing them.
Mat 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
