Ok so here is the thing- my hair isn't straight, but it's not curly.. it's kind of in between. I guess I'd call it wavy. Anyway, if I don't straighten it, it looks like a big frizzy mess, but if I do straighten it, it doesn't look right.. its just kinda tangly and stringy and it doesn't look shiny it just looks bad. Anyone have any suggestions? How can I wear it wavy without it being messy? or straight without it looking bad. thnks!

Good products make all the difference. Get a professional shampoo and conditioner. One of the best products on the planet is Botz - it's a styling creme made by ABBA Pure and Natural. You can find salons that carry it online or call some of your local supply houses that sell only to professionals. If they carry it they will be able to tell you which salons in your area carry it. Many salons list the products they carry in the yellow pages ads too. Botz is like a leave in conditioner with a bit of hold. I sell it to all my wavy and curly haired clients and anyone with perms or color. It will allow you to wear your hair wavy or straight and eliminates frizz. It sounds like your hair needs some deep conditioning. If you use good products and deep condition at least every 7 shampoos, your hair will become much easier to deal with. Don't forget to get regular trims. 1/2 inch every 6 weeks or so will do the trick if you don't already have split ends. Dryness is kind of the curly haired curse whether it's very curly or just wavy so just get on a good hair care regime and you'll see great improvement. Good luck.

To me, it sounds like you have a mostierizing prob. Honestly, straightning it is the LAST thing you want to do. It just fries your hair. Try buying a Moisterizing shampoo and conditioner. Take your shower at night so you can sleep to make it dry (buy the way, if you don't want a wet pillow in the morning, use a towell) Then brush your hair with a natural bristeld brush. Only brush it through your hair one or two times.

oh! A very cute hairstyle is when you take mousse and crink your hair up from the bottom. It will bring out your waves and create a cute hairstyle!

tip one: DON'T SLEEP IN A PONYTAIL

tip two: DO WASH OUT THE MOUSE BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP

tip three: DON'T EVER BRUSH YOUR HAIR MORE THAN FOUR TIMES, IT MAKES IT DRY!

tip four: DO WEAR YOUR HAIR HOWEVER YOU PLEASE

tip five: DON'T USE DYRERS, STRAIGHTNERS, OR ANYHTING THAT WILL DRY OUT YOUR HAIR!!!

Good Luck,

try switching shampoo and conditioner every once and a while, because that can help a lot. there's also a lot of gel and stuff that you can buy that you put in your hair before you straighten it to make it less stringy and stuff. if that doesn't work, try to find some cute ways to wear your hair up! good luck, and remember- whatever you do, your hair will never look like it does in commercials or in magazines, so don't compare yourself to that. =)
