If Mormons truly can perfect themselves, then the last thing they need is a Savior. After all, who wants to be the servant if they can be the master? That's what Satan suggested to Adam and Eve, That's what the Mormon church is about.

We always have a choice--just as you do. But remember this: Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and we must go through him to return to the Father in Heaven.

Jesus Christ is the God of this earth, the same Jehovah of the Old Testament. Does this sound like we don't need him? On the contrary, we need the Christ in our lives so that we can try to obey all his commandments, which included to perfect ourselves.

Your last sentence in your declaration tells much that you know too little about the Mormon church to say anything constructive or knowledgeable to others.

I don't know where you learned about the Mormon religion, but I bet you traveled to that school on a short, yellow bus. Being Mormon is about being the best person you can be, loving your fellow man, and trying to follow the covenants so you can return to your Heavenly Father. They believe themselves to be servants of God, and of his son, Jesus Christ. I'm not the most active member of the Mormon church, but I am knowledgable in the subject. Mormons aren't like Master Shake, who is "the master, and commander!".

Ummmm- as usual, you have it wrong.
We can become perfected IN and THROUGH Christ, NOT in any way ever on our own. If we had to rely on just ourselves, we would be in BIG trouble, all of us because we are human and cannot become perfect without Christ.
Look at it this way:
We believe (metaphorically speaking) our life is a test, a big empty glass and reaching the top of the glass full = eternal life in the Celestial Kingdom. Everything (righteously) we do in this life fills that glass, but as hard as we try we will never be able to fill it.
So, Christ asks us to fill it as much as we can on our own, THEN through his grace and love, and through the atonement, He will make up the difference and "fill the glass" for us. That does not mean the atonement and sacrifice were for nothing...it is for those of us who will use it.
We will never be above Christ or our Heavenly Father in any way, but we can become like them and be "joint-heirs with Christ" in our Father's Kingdom.
I often wonder when I read your answers why it seems you have so earnestly spent time "researching" the LDS church...just to TRY to bring it down. Do you have any idea you are on Satan's errand??? I'm sorry for you...He knows the church is true but blinds others so they may not.

THIS is what the Mormon church is about:

Christ
Love
Charity
Peace
Eternal Family
Truth
Friendship

Now, how can that be bad in any way???

Kristy, or whatever, I don't know where you get your information but hon, it is incorrect and inaccurate. I didn't even bother finishing that long preachy thing you sent me about polygamy. Girl, I know more about the LDS church than you profess to know. You just embarressed yourself by trying to "set straight" somebody who knows a hell of a lot more than you do about this religion, and the scriptures for that matter, and by sharing false comments and scriptures over the internet.
Your sources are wrong.
If anyone has been decieved, it is you.

I feel sorry for those who fight against the Kingdom of God, cuz they have it comin' to them when Christ comes the second time.

PS Christ is NOT a polygamist, and no active member of the church believes that that knows anything. We don't know about Heavenly Father, we just know we have a Heavenly Mother, or, at least, we presume he does.
And, Joseph Smith was not a polygamist, as many might believe. AND it is NOT requirement to be a polygamist to recieve Eternal Life and Salvation. You got that soooo wrong, dear. You have to be sealed for Time and Eternity to ONE person in the Temple of God, and you have to keep His commandments, and endure to the end, and keep the sacred covenants made with God.
That's it.

Like I said before, you're preaching to the wrong person.
And the only reason why I brought this up was because of some ignorant comments made in response to some dumb girl's question about marrying more than one person. I sent it out to clarify a few things.

I know you won't believe me and I am wasting my time trying to talk to you, but I sure hope that somebody else reads this and feels the Spirit of truth that comes from it and I hope that it will touch their heart to know that what I have shared with you is true and of God.

See you later..... poor thing.

Since you continue to post anti-mormon rhetoric, even though I have asked you to stop, I will try to be as plain as I can so that others can see what you are truly trying to do with your supposed questions. You, too, have a choice.

We DO NOT believe that we can perfect ourselves.
You are a liar. (Ex. 20:16) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

What do our scriptures say that we believe:

Article of Faith 3: We believe that through the atonement of CHRIST, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

Doctrine and Covenants 18:23: Behold, JESUS CHRIST is the name which is given of the Father, and there is none other name given whereby man can be saved.

Book of Mormon-Moroni 7:34: And HE (CHRIST) said: Repent all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me, and be baptized in my name, and have faith in me, that ye may be saved.

Bible-John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son (JESUS CHRIST), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

And finally, do not forget that the idea that we should strive to perfect ourselves is not a mormon invention. Jesus Christ, our Savior, commanded: Be ye therefore perfect, even as you Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

As I have asked you before, if you are Christian as you declare, why don't you spend time reading the scriptures, asking faith promoting questions, or trying to become more like our savior, rather than wasting your time on such ridiculous anti-mormon non-sense? You waste your own time and everyone else's on falsehoods while taking away from time that could be spent on God's word and work.

Please contact me. I promise that I will be civil. I really would like to know what has happened to you to create such hatred and animosity towards the LDS church that you would dedicate yourself to trying to destroy people's faith. I will answer any questions that you may have honestly and to the best of my ability.

Of course we need a Savior! He atoned (paid) for our sins through His crucifixion so that we can repent and be clean when we sin. That is key in the process of perfecting ourselves. When we repent humbly and sincerely we can be forgiven, and thereby improve ourselves every day. If the Savior hadn't made that sacrifice for us, we wouldn't be able to improve ourselves and strive to be more Christlike.

Which brings me to my next point. Heavenly Father (God, in other words) does not ask us to be perfect. He just wants us to work hard and do our best to live a righteous life. We must strive to live like the sons and daughters of God that we are.

As pertaining to your point about Satan: no, that is not what our Church is "about". We renounce Satan and strive to stay as far away from his voice as possible. We are humble servants and children of God, and we are proud and honored to call Him our Master.

I testify to you that Jesus Christ truly did suffer and die for your sins as well as mine. I testify that we can be forgiven if we repent with humble heart. I testify to you that God is your loving and merciful Father in Heaven, and that He loves you tremendously. I know all these things are true, and I testify of this in the Name of Jesus Christ.

I implore you to study and pray about what I've said, because that is the only way you can have the knowledge for yourself if they are true.

Hey Lisabug77!

What a load of crap! JS was a damn polygamist. The LDS church hasn't changed that part of it's history yet. You know only what is comfortable for your little fragile faith. If the Mormon god only lets people who go through the temple be together then I think He is a mean and evil God. Love is what keeps people together nothing more nothing less. Deny that and you are a fool.
If two little children who love each other were to die without being sealed in a LDS temple God would'nt allow them to be together. You need to wake up. That is a God not worth one bit of worship or glory. Good luck.

I have found that it is best to ask a Mormon what Mormons believe, and read Mormon literature.
