I am responding to you because my cousin just committed suicide yesterday morning. He was a single, 26 year-old with a promising future. No one in our family expected such a tragedy. I don't know you whatsoever, but PLEASE don't rely on petty herbal remedies for such a serious confliction. Seek counselling immediately. Depression is nothing to be ashamed of, and you will realize this when you talk with someone who doesn't know you and can give you a professional, unbiased opinion. Suicide is never the answer to life's problems. It's a selfish way to leave your loved ones. Don't put your family through something like that. You can work this out, but just try to have some patience. I'll pray for you.

I am so sorry for your pain. A visit to your general physician or even just a visit to the ER may be the best answer. Just don’t let this go unchecked. I wouldn't put much faith in St. John's Wart. But if you need something now call a pharmacist, they can be very helpful.
Depression is not something to take lightly~ especially if you are feeling suicidal. A doctor can prescribe something like Lexipro to help you.
My aunt recently lost her daughter, my baby cousin, in a car accident and Lexipro really helped her. I know it is just a band aid but if it helps you get through the day until you can sort out your thoughts and get back on the right track then it is a good thing.
Stay positive! With all the pain in the world it is still a great place! This too shall pass! Good luck~
And pray friend! It always helps.

I think 5-http is good for that. I am bipolar, and have suicidal thoughts and I cannot imagine not having meds at those times. At the same time it seems that it is so common that people are becoming more and more depressed and suicidal. I see it atleast once a day on here if not much more. Life is really hard. They also hand out meds like they are candy, and we are all so ready to take them. They also call every dick and jane bipolar these days.
Also you might be spending to much time at home being self employed. Get out and be active. It helps.
It'll get better. Don't give up. This is a lesson that you will get through. There is always something brighter down the road, just keep going till you get there. :)

I'm so sorry for you bro.Well take things easy. There are people who went thru more problems than you.Do some light exercise, and do the thing you enjoy.Get to know new friends and always tell yourself that you can turn over a new chapter.Don't be despair. If you have sisters or brothers,go and pay them a visit, play with their children. It's not the end of the world.Be positive, and you shall get the best .Drugs don't help. Its a temporary relief.Be strong and this is the best time to challenge yourself to get up,dress up,and be positive. You'll be surprise that you can do somethin that you think you can never do.Good luck and cheers!!

I know of no over-the-counter medicine you can take that will help you. Since you have reached out to people over the Internet, I commend you for your courage. This means that there is a strong impulse within yourself that really desires to go on living.
So, just go on, no matter what, face the issues confronting you and I promise you, things will eventually get better, much better. A day will come when you will be so happy that you did not end it all. I know that day will come. Have hope, believe in yourself, rise up in consciousness. Blessings, brother.

Nope, I think you might reach out and talk to a minister, priest or some counselor.
Tell them, and keep telling your story until you get someone to listen.
1. Hey, volunteer at a soup kitchen...then you will feel so blessed.
2. volunteer to help the 500,000 kids waiting to be adopted....you can listen to their stories.
3. I think you are going throug a bad time...and I believe you have been throug bad times before....so what...now get yourself up, dust yourself off, and remember if you can look up, you can get up.
4. Now make a list of what you want to accomplish in your life, where you want to go, how you want to help people, what hospital you may volunteer your services......regardless of how we're treated....can you help others?
I believe you can, and you must face the 5 stages of grief...everyone who loses something: marriage, a house, moves, changes jobs, a child dies and such faces a loss
1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Bargaining - if only I did that, this would not happen
4. Depression
5. Acceptance
you must go through all 5 stages to get to acceptance...and you will....just give yourself time to heal...and get back on track...and be a more complete person.
Hey...my daughter died in 1988...and I'm still kicking!!!

Sometimes when life goes catty-wompus - it is normal to be depressed. You are going thru a very difficult time in your life and depression is the natural response to that.
If you really consider hurting yourself - over the counter meds are not powerful enough to affect your brain chemistry. You can't medicate away your troubles but an anti-depressant may help with your suicidal thoughts. Please see your family doctor - don't let this go.

if you feel you needs meds then get them however I dont think meds are the answer:
I think suicdal toughts are satanic attacks on our minds and when you get them religious or not I suggest you call on God for help.
I use to get Suicidal thoughts alot and these thoughts were very real
almost as if I was really going to do it. Then I would immediatly snap out of it and would think to myself what the Hell is going on why am i getting these horrible thoughts:
I wasn't depressed and life had its troubles yet not bad enough to kill myself. So I prayed and I asked God in Jesus name to make these terrible thoughts go away. And they did and every time the thoughts came back I would pray again and again and again
each time I prayed I seemed to get stronger and eventually the thoughts dont come and when they do my mind immediatly dimisses them with thoughts of Jesus helping me.
I also suggest getting more excersie, start jogging or weight training and get yourself motivated
Drugs do not cure these thoughts but only subdue them. Drugs don't cure demons
My prayer was Jesus is life and God gave me life and in Jesus name I will live my life for God because he has plans for me So in Jesus name I pray that all thoughts of death and despair must leave me now because God is filling me with hope and a future and demons and evil cannot have what God is gonna use for God. In Jesus Name Amen!
This stuff works!

I don't know about St.Johns but, I know how you feel. I had to see a nut doctor for mine. I would ask a pharmasist. But,it is better to go to your doctor. He can perscribe something with out seeing a nut doctor. Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheer up. Keep a prayer in you heart and a song on you lips. It helps. I always say, "Let Go Let God" he will take care of everything.
