If you just got that recently done then i would suggest rinse with warm salt water (1/2 tsp. salt in 8 oz of water) to help with the discomfort. If it persist go see ur dentist. Make sure you brush and floss everyday...if you dont it will defeat the purpose of the cleaning and also make sure u go to ur 3month cleanings. Good luck!

ONCE THE GUMS HAVE BEEN SWOLLEN AND PUFFY FOR SOME TIME, THERE IS NO AMOUNT OR MATTER OF BRUSHING THAT WILL RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

WHY NOT?

BECAUSE THE REAL CAUSE OF THE SWELLING AND PUFFINESS IS CALCULUS (TARTAR) BELOW THE GUMS.

THIS BUILDUP MUST BE REMOVED BY A DENTIST THROUGH A PROCEDURE KNOWN AS SCALING.

TO KEEP THIS FROM RETURNING, METICULOUS HOME CARE MUST BE MAINTAINED.

you may not be using a proper brushing technique. your gums need to be brushed too, not only your teeth. you shouldnt be brushing back and forth, but short strokes up and down. your gums should be light pink, not dark. this can be a sign of simply poor brushing/flossing habits, or something more serious like gum disease. try flossing regularly. if this is still a problem i suggest you get a checkup with a real dentist.

Try a 3% hydrogen perioxide rinse or warm H2o. Make sure you brush twice a day and floss daily. Also, see your hygienist every three months for regular therapy and ask her what you can do.

I have a simple yet extremely evvective solution! GREEN TEA! My father had that same problem and someone told him to use green tea be swishing it around in your mouth before swallowing it. His problem has vanished! It seems the stronger you make the tea the more effective it is.
