Someone I did not know sucker punched me so hard he broke my jaw on impact one side and then moved it over so much that he broke the other side. He broke his own hand in two places on that punch (he was flat our running when he hit me). I had never spoke to him before...I ended up taking a medical withdrawl from college (ended up transferring) and came home to heal. Went to YMCA of the Rockies not long after that and it was better than any therapist. When I climbed my first mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park (Taylor Peak), At the summit, I left any hatred for him in the past and filled my heart with the future while taking in the front range. That punched changed the course of my life. I would not have met my wife nor have been introduced to the true healling power of big peaks and nature.
That was the most hateful thing ever done to me. He plead guilty to a felony charge of aggravated assault. If he would have hit my ear, I would have been partly deaf...my eye...partly blind...my jaw is the only place on my face that could have remotely taken that and allowed me to return to normal with some marvels of medicine. Life can have it's ups and downs, but the whole ride is something not described by one adjective...

It is hard to explain but I consider people who have ripped the beauty and inspiration (as well as life support)of nature from me (and others) the most hateful thing.
My heart sinks when ever I think of the places I loved that are lost. I makes me feel homeless. When people hurt each other in such a way, it is the only time I feel lost.....hopeless in humanity.
Also, these are my sacred places of refuge, where I go in times of trouble, its horrible to find them destroyed, torn apart and replaced with places of greed......
good question...hard to answer...

The most hateful thing that has happened to me recently, is the comment that Coon Killer made. He insulted alot of people, racism is such an ugly thing. Read his comment, if you can find it. It's under Society and Culture!

While I slipped into a manic state and became psychotic, the "friends" that were around me at the time used this to their advantage to eventually steal all my TV, VCR, Turntables, Mixer, Stereo, Cameras, Records, and anything they could sell so they can get more crack. While I was distracted from defending my pad, they rifled through all my personal belongings. Meanwhile, they helped me get crazier by feeding my condition with drama and eventually I ended up at the VA Mental Health Ward.

being fired by a good christian for being gay--I fought it, got my job back and she lost hers, but it took months without an income and was possibly the most nightmarish point in my life to date
