I havent been to the dentist in 15 years and its taken me this long to do something about it now i am getting them all fixed. I dont mind so much mouth and jaw pain (i have suffered for so long now i am used to it) its more so the headaches or sick feelings that bother me as i have bad anxiety/panic attacks. Anyhelp would be great I will be knocked out for the whole procedure and they are putting dentures in straight after

Thanks for everyones heads up, i am in austrlallia it will cost be quiet a lot including dentrues however medicare will rebate most of the anethiasts fee. (50% i think)My dentist said he will chair in the chair rates as well which is extremely nice of him. Overall i am up for about $1000 and considering i spend so much a week on medication etc and i am continually sick all the time it will be worth spending the money. I am so ashamed and horrified but as each tooth got bad i kept putting them off more and more alas the reason i am so scared ashamed and embarrased! Terrified!! I have heard it will be painful having the denutres in while my jawa is healing however i understand this can minimise bleeding? I know i will need them altered after a day or so i am happy to remove them at home. For me this is a big thing for me i cant explain the fear, i couldnt even make an appointment. The good news is i have 6 lower front teeth that are 100% healthy - the rest are ground to the bone sadly

THERE ARE INDEED LEGITIMATE REASONS FOR DOING A FULL MOUTH EXTRACTION. HAVING SICK TEETH IN YOUR MOUTH AFFECTS YOUR OVERALL HEALTH. FOR SOME PEOPLE THEIR HEALTH IMPROVES DRAMATICALLY ONCE ALL THE INFECTED TEETH ARE GONE.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN FOR PAIN CONTROL. IT CAUSES THE BLOOD TO THIN AND NOT CLOT AS FAST. THIS IS WHY TO HEART ATTACK VICTIMS ASPIRIN IS GIVEN.

IT SEEMS THAT YOU WILL BE RECEIVING IMMEDIATE DENTURES AS SOON AS YOUR TEETH ARE EXTRACTED. THESE WILL NEED TO BE RELINED ONCE THE GUMS ARE COMPLETELY HEALED, 6-8 WEEKS POST EXTRACTION.
BEING KNOCKED OUT IS A GOOD THING FOR A PROCEDURE LIKE THIS. CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN.

Whoa! All of your teeth? Why? If they're no teeth that can be saved due to decay and abcesses, okay. But, if you're having them out because it's cheaper, think LONG and hard before you go through with it. Getting all your teeth removed is a big deal. Not only physically, but, mentally. I'm not a dentist, but, having dentures put in, on top of open extraction sites, doesn't sound like you would be able to heal right. Good luck and ask for the good stuff. And, if you're not sure if it's right for you get a second opinon.

Suddenly you seem to have hit upon some jackpot that you are considering all teeth felled that mercifully staggered and waited 15 long years to be fully taken care of. Hope you have good insurance coverage. Otherwise look for cheap and best options abroad in countries like thailand, dubai, india, singapore etc and come back with a new smile. Make your search something like affordable denture dentists in India etc. Good luck.

trust me honey, just start taking i.b or even common asprin as soon as you come to.i had all my teeth removed at the same time without being knocked out or without any pain afterwards,as a matter of fact i went straight to work from the dentist.a little tired but,no pain.
however i strongly suggest you wait at least 8 weeks before getting the dentures.reason being there will be swelling in your mouth and the dentures will not fit right after the swelling goes down, plus theres the possibilty that you'll have bone work out,or pieces of teeth that they leave behind.everyone i know who did it your way had problems afterwards but,i waited the 8 weeks and never had any problems.

Don't worry, they will give you enough pain medecine and if you have been suffering, this will be a relief in a way. After the first two days you will start to feel lots better and seeing those new teeth will make you feel like it was worth all of it. I know, I have had lots of problems with my teeth for years and lots of pain. I am on meds. that make tham weak and soft so every year I have a tooth pulled or something done. No picnic. I feel for you. Prayers are coming your way. Good Luck.

The pain will be tolerable. You will be able to stand it.

Congrats on your new smile!!! I wish I could see before and after pictures. I"m very happy for you. Bad teeth are a life threateing situation. President Taft died of one single infected tooth.

Go for it and don't let worry about the pain stop you. The new medications are just great. The pain will be fleeting and very very worthwhile. You won't remember your pain. Non-consequential.

will not lie to you .. my bother n law had a full set..it was very painful..know what to expect going into it.. not sure if you smoke or drink.. but, try not too before having the procedure done. also, they should have you on an antibiotic ahead of time and afterward to keep infection down.. also, they will give you pain pills. if you have anxiety/panic attacks i am assuming you are on a medication for it.. maybe talk to the doctor you most likely see for your attacks regarding your medication for anxiety if it can be upped for one to two weeks before and after the procedure.

The amount of pain you will have is dependent on the condition of your teeth. If you have periodontal disease it will be less painful than if all your teeth are healthy. I wonder if any of your teeth can be saved and your age. Having all your teeth pulled is a no turning back decision

Just thought you should know that whoever said that about Taft was wrong and I don't know where they got their information. I got this from en.wikipedia.org

"President. Taft died on Saturday, March 8, 1930, due to heart complications"
