I know this sounds crazy, but try peanut butter. This is a litttle known household tip that I learned a long time ago. Its actually used to remove any kind of adhesive residue. I've used it to remove sticker residue from refrigarators to mirrors. Just put a small dab on a wash cloth or paper towel and rub in over your skin gently until it comes off.

Registered Nurse here; Hi, wash the area with warm water and soap. If possible soak in a bath with warm water for about 20 minutes, then scrub area with soap and water, careful not to break the skin. After the bath, if residue remains, cleanse area with alcohol, and apply thin layer of lotion. Could take two to three days to get it all removed.
Thanks for the opportunity to address your question.

The painless way is to use some vegetable oil & a soft cloth. The painful but faster way is with lighter fluid or nailpolish remover. Most drugstores do sell an adhesive remover.

A little alcohol or baby oil on a cotton ball. I prefer the baby oil as the alcohol is so drying. If you don't have either, try anything oily like peanut butter or even butter.

Take a cotton ball or cotton swab and put a little rubbing alcohol on it and rub on your skin. Make sure you don't get the rubbing alcohol on your wound, it will burn.

Try gently rubbing oil (baby oil, mineral oil or olive oil--whatever you've got on hand) on it. This should help to dissolve the adhesive while not irritating your skin.
