oh yes even taiwan have u.s help China will still win and u.s will lost more troop in iraq which mean more that 3000 will be kill. becuase China have the world larger amry.

No, but the question is pointless anyway. Does China want a war with the USA? Nuclear Armageddon? China is content with bullying Taiwan on the international stage, and as their own economy grows more powerful, they will have their own problems to worry about, as the increasing divide between rich and poor puts internal pressure on the CCP. The richer provinces and cities (Shanghai, Fujian etc) will not want to support an unproductive peasantry, and may end up demanding de facto independence, as Taiwan has successfully done.

No, I don't think the PRC will invade the ROC. The Taiwanese have made some pretty good preparations for their own defense. They have aircraft in hardnened shelters and submarines, etc. that could retaliate effectively against an initial strike. The island is basically a fortress. When you factor in the US Navy, it would it would be a close fight. The fact that it would be a close fight means that China could only win at the price of totally destroying Taiwan and killing millions of people. That's deterrent enough.

They'd like too. They view Taiwan as a "lost" piece of their country. However, the U.S. has a treaty in place with Taiwan that says we will do whatever is necessary to protect Taiwan from Chinese aggression. So, if China move militarily on Taiwan, the US will intercede and then it becomes major military conflict. In the end, I do not think that China could suceed against the US & Taiwanese forces.
