i have this friend he is very well known in my town and best friends with the sheriff and he has been pulled over alot of times and he never gets a ticket. one day we were out of town and he got pulled over for speeding the cop came up and was actually kind of rude.. he asked if he had any tickets and he said no and the cop was like well i will tell u that may be the only thing that saves you today... he walks to his car and i am thinking he is going to get a ticket almost happy about it because he deserves one lol... the cop comes back and is like some other person he is all sweet and calls my friend by name and says well i am going to let you go but slow down... i was like wtf? if that had been me i would have got a ticket and why the sudden mood change? is there something in that car computer that says dont give this guy a ticket for this reason??? i am serious i would like to know how he gets away with it? he was doing 73in a 45....

Well, if it's a small community and your friend's well-known it's likely that the officer was told when he went back to his car, "Hey, don't give this guy a ticket," either over the radio, his pager, or his cell phone, by either his dispatcher or the sheirff himself. The good-ole-boy system's alive and well in my hometown. Happens often.

No there is nothing that a cop can see. The MDT (mobile data terminals) only tells police officers if there are wants or warrants out for an individual and if their license has suspended or revoked. You might want to call that particular PD and find out what is going on

Some law enforcement agencies allow officers to register their cars with their home address being the police station. This protects them from revenge seekers. When ran, it comes up to the PD, and many agencies do 'professional courtesy' that is, they don't give tickets to fellow officers. Also, it can come up on his background when they run the name.

can't imagine that there is, you would have to ask a cop though. Is his Dad a cop or something?

they have files on anyone with a driver licence, the only think they need to put some extra info to your buddy file, that's all
