Don't squeeze it. That can give you a much more serious infection. Keep on with the warm compresses, 2-4x/day for 20 minutes each. Gently wash the eye with some very mild soap or shampoo once a day (with your eye shut).

Or go to the doctor... it takes about five minutes to treat stys (they gently cut them open to drain them, then give you an antibiotic ointment)

There is an old English remedy 'that works', and it's as simple
as using warm milk.
Heat milk until quite warm ( but not hot).
Using a cotton ball, soak it with the milk and place it on the eye.
If possible, do this 3 or 4 times a day.
Leave the cotton ball on for at least 15mins each time.
The enzymes in the milk will pull the sty to a head 'OR' will
simply dry it up. I've tried it and it worked in three days..

Try a cold tea bag or a slice of cucumber to ease the discomfort. Do your best not to rub it & irritate more. If that doesn't work it's time for a visit to the Doctor for some antibiotic drops.

My mother always warmed up a tea bag-not too hot- and would apply it to my eye for about 30 minutes. It did soothe it and it finally did go away.
