What if he isn't? What if Geldor the space monkey is quietly condeming everyone who doesn't wash his socks in pure vegetable oil? Tell me why you aren't worried about that!
Its not impossible that Satan exists and is doing as you say. Its just impossible to know if its happening or not. In that case, its just like Geldor the space monkey - not worth worrying about!

that is completly possible, satan's job is as the prosecutor and destroyer fashioned by G-D. he is an angel of G-D who's job is to prove you or your organizations are not realy true to G-D. and he should not be confused with the more subtle than any other beast of the fields, or the baal molech, or the lucifer. which are entirely three completely different entities. even thought the more subtle than any other beast, is more closely associated with the satan.
after all this nation is building a fence between us and mexico, which is not meant to better our relations with mexico. not is this an act of peace and good will to all men. when it is actualy an escalation in hostilities. with the problem of our boarders being invaded, is actualy a prophetic warning. and they are going about trying to solve the problem in the wrong direction. but ultimatly what the satan and the others do, is commanded done by G-D.

I’m sitting in an air-conditioned room, typing on a monster PC with Dell 30’ widescreen monitor, and hanging from the wall is an enormous plasma screen and a surround system with a terribly loud subwoofer blasting the latest music videos. If the devil built this then I don’t mind.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

so, now i'm confused. i'm getting the tools, but he is building the walls? or what? if you mean we are the ones building the walls and he is simply giving us the tools, there is really only one thing to do: try not to use his tools.

i think your point is very valid. if pride and things like that is the tools then we deffinantly have them.
being hard hearted or stiffnecked is probably what you mean. i think we all are subjected to the devils influence. he offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world. how can you offer what you don't have. therefore if this world is his then we are subjected to his influence. even just through media.
