I think, perhaps, the problem is that what you want is not what you are looking for.
Usually, whan a female tells me this, she's lusting after a party boy. Yet she expects security and loyalty out of him, and he resents her for it because he just wants to get laid.
So, the question is not 'What happened to the boys,' but 'Are you looking for what you want in a place it doesn't exist?'
If so, change the place you are looking, and go after someone who is cabable of giving it to you.
