Would not a God who judged your actions to others find destroying life support systems about as evil and selfish as it gets. I mean if your going to have to fess up, to every little thing...I mean I try so hard not to hurt anyone, including taking care of "creation"...For its sake and becuase if you say dam a river for power and it keeps others from water, and the animals they use for food etc is that not just a little evil, but super evil. What if the "devil" wants each generation of christian to think the world is near so they do not take responsibility for thier actions, mabye we should be moral even if the world will end tommorrow...maybe esspesally because if you beilieve in revolations....
Please think about it..your thoughts...no passive aggresive god blesses either please.

Any right thinking Christian does not know when the end will come. The end has been pending since the times when the Bible was still being written, so it's silly to place a date or a year on the time of the End. But it says in the bible that Christ will come "Like a theif in the night", meaning it could happen at any second. So what does that mean? That means you shouldn't stand on top of the roof waiting for Christ to come, but at the same time you should see the signs of the End coming, and not be surprised when Christ returns. It just means to keep a watchful eye, be ready. It doesn't mean to pollute the planet, because the End is near. That would be the same as having a drunken sex party because the End is near. Christians are to to good, not destroy. Some Coservative Christians may have a less of an environmental stanpoint, but that has little to do with the End of the world. Although it should be obvious that nature can also destroy, and go out of balance on it's own, and we have had Ice Ages, and great catastrophies, like huge asteroids hitting the earth. So just like an Atheist could conclude that an asteroid could hit the earth almost at any time, a Christian can conclude that the End could come at any time, except the prophesy of the Bible shows you what will be the signs of the End, and we are seeing some signs in the past Century.
It could be that the End does not happen during my lifetime, but it seems like it's going to be within my lifetime based on the signs.
We'll know then... are you ready?

Who told you it would be a free for all? I don't remember that part. I thought that if I beileve that God made me, His son died and rose again and I believe that this act of dying by Jesus gives me a way to heaven after I die, then I will be in heaven when the world ends. Whether it is now or later. each generation of Christians has believed that it could happen in 10 minutes. Maybe now. Hey, that's ok with me!

But now, if I am right and you are not, then when I die and you die, then I go to heaven and you do not. (if you do not believe the Bible)
If you are right (no god , no Jesus, no heaven) and I die, nothing happens to me, and you, when you die are in that same nothing happens place.

Morality is the system that keeps some of us doing good things and responisble things. Immorality is the opposite - everyone doing thier own stuff, and not taking responisbility for it. I prefer the first.

It is because I expect the Lord Jesus to come back that I concern myself over all ecological problems people create in this earth. You are incorrect in believing that the world will end. Revelations 21: I, John, saw a renewed heaven and renewed earth for the old heaven and old earth were passed away and there was no more sea. This is the translation from the origonal Greek so you see Father God is not a destroyer but a Master Builder!

Great question! I think that because things are on a downward spiral that people will be the main cause of the end of all things. We can all see that an attitude of violence, hate, and unforgiveness prevails on the earth. God is All good, Holy and holds the fate of mankind at His judgement seat. May we all be ready to stand before Him whether it is 1 day or 100 years.

The short answer to your question is "nobody's perfect", but that is glib and i don't mean to be.

It says that God will judge our "hearts"; you may indeed get more blessings than I do, I don't know, I'm not God. What is a persons "intent"? I believe that is the message the bible is trying to get ALL of us to see. Are your intentions pure? God forgives.

I know of no man who is truly a Christian who thinks he has never screwed up royally. As we grow, we try to correct these things and change our behavior as we walk thru this life. It's hard, but worth it.

That's what i believe, anyway.

The apostles did not comprehend at the same time as Jesus ought to go back. They idea that he ought to come again of their lifetime, considering that they actually couldn't imagine him staying away for see you later. yet many prophecies nevertheless needed to be fulfilled (nevertheless do, surely) for the events in Revelation to ensue. a million. The gospel should be preached to the ends of the earth- to anybody- so as that anybody ought to have a threat. 2. Revelation predicts the desecration of the Jewish temple in Jeruselum through the antichrist. there is not any temple in Jeruselum and on the time that John replaced into given the resourceful and prescient of Revelation there replaced into no temple both. those are a number of many stuff that ought to ensue in the previous the go back of Jesus. What it skill for us, as Christians, is that we nevertheless have the arrival of Christ to look ahead to and we ought to continually be operating (in a time the position conception in Jesus and God is declining), to carry as a lot of human beings to Him as conceivable.

for myself i think the world will end soon but this does not mean that i live a 'free for all' life.

if anything wouldn't thinking that the world is going to end soon keep you on your toes a little more so that you don't sin.

also i don't think every generation of Christian has thought that the end is near.

Christians do not know when the "worId will end". But for the sake of your question: If it never happens, then we are all in the same boat. Now, when it DOES happen, I'll be with my Lord Jesus. Where will you be?

You don't know your Bible...the world won't possibly end for at least 1007 yrs..... the 7 yrs of the tribulation period (of which the Christians will be gone before it starts), and then the 1000 yr rule and reign of Jesus with the saints of heaven on the earth.....
