He is allergic to fleas and has been bitten by a few this summer and his coat feels horrible. Last year rubbing mayonnaise into his coat helped, but it isn't working this time

my cat suffered from this and it was really sad to watch him suffer! He had patches of skin were so raw they blead! I took him to the vet and paid a few bucks to get him a cortizone shot. One time I couldn't afford the shot, so I gave him some benedryl liquid with a syringe straight into the back of the throat...it took longer but it worked as well. You could try either of those, or you could put cortizone cream on his skin, but he may just lick it off.If he is a heavy sleeper you could rub some on him just as he falls asleep...I hope you can get the poor little fella taken care of! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

the vet can give it a shot. I do not know what it is. My vet refered to it as a cool down shot. It made the skin not feel so hot and my cat was a zombie barly moving a couple feet from her food and water for 3 days and always sleeping but after that she was back to normal. She was also allergic to fleas and would tear her skin up and loss her hair

Your cat does not ought to have fleas to be allergic to them. If hes been bitten then theirs a reaction.you ought to of dealt with the dry pores and skin with Cod liver oil pills,Use the comparable ones we've ,purely puncture the pill and pour on his foodstuff, this could handle it, As for the scabs, you would be greater desirable holding them dry, purely dab with tissue or a cotton PAD,no longer unfastened cotton wool as this could save on with the sore.then the cat digests it, Your doing the terrific subject getting him to the vet,He probably desires an antibiotic Jab.and a steroid cream for the sores, good success

Take him to a vet and have the vet put one of those "satellite dishes" on him. You do not want to risk having your cat's health deteriorate from having wounds that will not heal.

I would suggest a good shampoo and if you don't think you can do it, take him to a groomer--his life may depend on it. Fleas kill and if he is allergic, the more urgent it is. Thanks.

Give her a bath with oatmeal shampoo. Call your vet and see if you need antibiotics.
