If you are going to try that, at least use a good heat protectant first.

How do you plan to straighten your hair? Since you already have a perm in your hair, I suggest you blow out your hair using a round brush. After you do that, use a ceramic flat iron (cermamic causes less damage) and "fine tune" your hair. This will last for a day until you either sweat heavily or your hair gets wet. Once you wash and condition your hair.. it will go back to curly.

if you use a perm to straighten it, it will never go back curly as you would be chemically changing your hair. just blow dry them straight and use a flat iron to finish the job that way they will go back to curling...

No way ho'se. Don't streighten your hair, it totally BURNS it to look like...well, hay. Just brush it out like you normally would only bend down and brush the hairs underneath too, when you come up it may look real frizzy, but there is nothing a little brushin cant cure!

YOU CAN USE A FLAT IRON (STRAIGHTENER)...WHILE YOUR HAIR IS DRY...DO SECTIONS AT A TIME. OTHERWISE YOU CAN BY A STRAIGHTENING BALM...PUT IT IN WHILE IT'S WET...THEN BLOWDRY IT STRAIGHT WITH A BRISTLE BRUSH BY SECTIONS.
