I've been always shy when I was little, very shy, I couldn't even talk to my relative most of the time,my parents didn't do anything to treat me,I had so many problem at school,I used to sit in the corner alone and not talk to anybody.Then I became less shy when I got to high school,my shyness was almost gone but I have much more serious problems now,I'm not shy but I feel so anxious all the time when I'm outside my house and it's getting worse every single day, like when I'm in a restraunt or any place I feel everyone is watching me and my heart beats raise.And the biggest problem is that I feel like I can't talk to anyone even my friends,I just don't want to contact them or talk to them,I'm getting worse eveyday,now I spend all my time at home.it's my last year in high school and I only went to school for one day,I just feel I can't.not only I feel nervous and anxiousI also feel like I don't want to go outside,like I'm deppressed or something.do you think I will be ok with medicines?

Go see a therapist, your symptoms sound the same as the ones I was experiencing. The doc. put me on some antidepressants and an anti anxiety med. Believe me, it's worth it. Some people might say it will just go away if you do this or that, but if it's getting worse it could be an illness that needs intervention, there's no shame in getting help, so you can reach your true life potential.

Utmost definitely! You need to see a doctor soon and get some relief and feel better. You deserve a better life and you are young and you don't need to miss out on life any longer. I like that commercial saying--Depression hurts, but you don't have to. It is true. You can get help. See a doctor and get a referral for a good psychiatrist because they are specialists who will know how to help you best. You will also need counseling from a psychologist too, to help you understand and work through this. So yes, medicine and counseling is what you should do. I hate to tell people what to do and I don't want to sound pushy, but those things I spoke of have helped me tremendously. So do it for yourself. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain if you at least try my suggestion. It sounds like most of the other answerers think you should get help too, so go for it. Good luck.

I think what you're describing would fit into the category of Anxiety Disorders. The experience you describe of feeling like everyone is watching you in public places and now being more and more afraid to come out of your home is actually an anxiety disorder that CAN be treated. I would most certainly try to make an appointment with a psychiatrist or at least a counselor for now that can get you in touch with a psychiatrist ...because medicine and therapy can definitely help you lead a more satisfying life. Hang in there ...but try to get yourself help ASAP. There IS help for this.

it seems like u r like going through like a phase and u should talk to ur friends because if they r real friends they will understand and want to help u so talk to them and hurry.........
