Is the tooth becoming weak? Is there any way a dentist can make it less transparent , or make it not look as transparent, and will insurance help pay for it? I was thinking about getting caps or fillings, which one is the better Idea

The transparency can occur when the outer enamle layer wears away. Teeth are extremely hard to wear away unless there is a contributing factor that weakens the enamel. Most common factor is the intake of acidic drinks.
Do you drink sodas or fruit juices? How much of these drinks compared to how much plain water? Do you have sensitive teeth to cold drinks or toothbrushing?
Get along to a dentist and try to find out the reason before you start treating the problem. Fillings can often remedy the situation, but if you don't sort out the cause, then the fillings will fail.

you are wearing away the back portion of your tooth at the edge, so naturally your teeth will become more transparent there. consult your dentist so he can determine exactly what is going on and what your best option is to fix the problem.

Teeth naturally have a transparency toward the edge. If it's getting more, make sure your getting enough calcium. If your thinking of covering them, try veneers, you save more of your tooth.
