My fever is better with the aspirin I'm taking but I don't want to overmedicate myself.

Taking aspirin because acetomenophen does nothing for my fever. Been on Midol which has that in it for my cramps, which is all it works for.

First of all, don't take aspirin if you have a fever!!! Take acetometaphin. (Tylenol). Aspirin is dangerous if you have a fever!
If you don't want to take medication then get sleep. Sleep is a healer. Lots of liquids and sleep. If you want to try something not so medicated...try Neo Citran. Will help you sleep and help with the aches and pains of being sick. The Tylenol will help as well.

The thing that I do for headaches is I go and lay down in a dark room close my eyes and not think of anything or anyone and usually but not all the time they go away.

If you have a headache with nausea, try a dark, quiet room.

a dark quiet room for headache and a lemon for nausea. the lemon really works for nausea.
