It depends on what you classify as 'good'coffe. I myself would prefer maxwell house over starbucks ANY day of the week, and that's my classification. Where some people prefer DARK to MED roast, Some prefer Fine ground to med. ground. It's all your preference, darlin.

For me it's good aroma, dark color (I hate weak coffee) and a slightly bitter taste. Jamaican Blue Mountain is the best coffee on the planet. I bought a bag when I was in Jamaica and I'm kicking myself for not buying more than one bag.

I like it to taste moderately strong, but not burnt or weak. Definitely not high acid, that can irritate the stomach.
I've heard Arabica beans are the best to use, as they are high in flavor and very low in acid.
I like to clean the pot for the coffee maker thoroughly, and I use white vinegar. I run that right through to clean it, with 3 total rinses with cold water.

rich in flavour, and smells strong. like when you walk into second cup, their coffee is good, or starbucks. Not like those cheap coffee shops, the coffee is horrible, and it is so light, it's like drinking water with the bitterness of coffee.

rich, not bitter, not too hot. Tastes as good as it smells or better. Tastes fresh. No peices of coffee bean in it.
